I saw the image of our Lady of Caacupe when Pope Francis was venerating the image and thought is a very beautiful one. Her face and hair both lovely. The history behind the image is very interesting too. On Rome Reports the narrator says the image is carved of wood from a tree where the creator, an indigenous man, sought refuge and prayed asking our Lady for her protection. His life was spared and he created the beautiful image in her honor.
