"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Joel said: "It won't make you happy."

Things can't make you happy.

So true.

  1. You got that right, Terry!

Here's another song for this post. http://youtu.be/DCCkfS7_-N4 If you want to be happy, make others happy! I start with my grandchildren. Nothing brings a smile to my face more than doing things with them and one of the best things we ever did was to go the nursing home (at my daughter's request) with the little girls dressed in their tutus and Baby Max. The change in the Alzheimier's patients was beautiful to behold!

    1. So true, isn't it. Thanks Mary Ann - what a beautiful thing to do - to bring kids to visit the residents - I bet it was a delight. This is the antidote to unhappiness and loneliness and it does so much good.
