Barbarity and enslavement.
For Islamic State militant butchers, it's open season on Christians. IS is forcing circumcision on Christian men and women. The captive women are also sold into sex slavery. Men who are permitted to live are forcibly circumcised. (Forced circumcision is normal in East Africa.)
(AINA) — The Tunisia Daily is reporting that the Islamic State (ISIS) forcefully circumcised Assyrian men in Mosul, without anesthesia. The report does not specify the number of men that were affected but does state that it was an organized mass circumcision. ISIS has ordered the circumcision of all Christian children and adults who remain in Mosul.Very few Assyrian Christians stayed in Mosul after ISIS gave them a deadline to convert, pay jizya, leave or die (AINA 2014-07-20).The report also states that ISIS sold 700 Yazidi women for $150 each in a public slave auction in Mosul. - Link
Islam enslaves men and women. Women and children have no rights whatsoever. It is medieval cruelty.

My thoughts and my prayers and my heart are with my brothers and sisters in Christ and with all of God's children there in Iraq.. I cried today after I read Elizabeth Scalia's piece and it just seems so unreal but yet not at all surprising that we in the West have grown fat and indifferent in our "temporary comfort zones" while the world burns.

I truly believe, Terry, we will suffer an even great persecution than our brethren in the Middle East is suffering. I remain convinced that we will reap what we sow having become indifferent to their plight.
They are the lucky ones since those already martyred rest now in the bosom of the Lord and they are before His throne interceding for their beloved people be they Christian or Yezidi. The Lord knows their heart and He is all merciful.
I cannot even begin to imagine what awaits the evil doers in the next life...theirs will not be life as we know it should they die unrepentant. We are called to pray for them but with each reported atrocity, I find it very hard to do.
May God have mercy on us all in the coming days, months and years...we are going to need it.
This is all so Horrific ! It makes me think about....the very beginning of WWII: the advent of the great persecution of the Jews: the later revelations - not so much revelations, as wasn't it known, really, from early on ? And yet - inaction - waffling - much wringing of hands !

I remember....reading....about the abandonment the Jews in Europe experienced - how, after the horrors were discovered, it was said from all corners, 'never again !'.
Yes, the horrors being inflicted on the Jews by the Nazis was known but, as with today, too many people did not want to know and the revelations about what was going on was poo-poohed as exaggerated. The Jews in Europe themselves did not wish to believe it and by the time it was their turn to be rounded up it was too late. Even then, they were told they were merely being 'relocated'. The trains ran perfectly openly, in fact the very brazenness of the transportations made them seem ordinary. Everyone knew, but no-one dared speak except those who thought it a good idea. For YEARS those of us who have studied the Quran and its psychotic teachings have been warning that this is all heading in one direction; disaster. You cannot appease people who regard you as fit only for slaughter or enslavement you have to DEFEAT them.

ReplyDeleteI need to keep posting in order to remain aware of the violence and atrocities committed. After WWII German citizens were obliged to go through the camps to see the atrocities committed by the Nazis. We need to keep showing these atrocities to make us wake up.
Yes - I am very glad you are continuing to post what you find - this, in conjunction with what Emmett O'Regan has been studying, is very grim. Every morning on the way to work, as I drive there around 5:30, I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet: & for years, in conjunction with my own personal internal darkness, I have begged God to return, to save us - to rescue us all, His people - His very creation. Even the mad, demonic ISIS - for surely they are so deluded, so poisoned by their own teachers and leaders: and this will go on for generation & generation, this race & faith hatred.

oh how very small and pitiful my sacrifices are. Such soft comfort in which I live ! We Will all be called to account, won't we, for how we used our luxurious time - we can't stop praying.

A 'little act' of continual love to Our Lord, given to her, Himself. When I am forlorn, I travel to the page on Mystics of the Church, with her picture, in the garden - How Christ must have been so taken by her ! How He will stoop to us too !
Terry, I'm still praying every day for an end to this madness, but I don't see things ending so easily. Sometimes I fear this is just the beginning. But I think if we keep praying for our neighbors, for our countries, perhaps the world may be spared from the evils that might be coming. I don't want to think "oh woe is us, Bishop Nona is right, it's inevitable" Nothing is inevitable, and we have no idea how much difference our prayers can make, weak and paltry as they may be. The important thing I've realized in all this is that only God and His Church can be trusted -- I have no faith in Western governments to be able to protect the innocent much longer, or even to refrain from actively attacking them.
ReplyDeleteA note on the images again -- the top one is not from Iraq recently. I think it's from the Balkans, and supposedly depicts Serbian men forcibly circumcised by the mujahideen there in the 90s. In any event, that's what the website that posted the image in 2013 says. It's the same evil, different place.
bishop Nona is wise to warn us in the West and while I agree with him, I will still trust and hope against hope God's little ones will be saved, if not in this world, for sure in the next.

Mercury - I'm not sure about the Archbishop's prediction either - although I expect it can happen. I don't trust Governments either - nor the market. Somebody finances these operations.
DeleteI had trouble getting the image of the forced circumcisions - I wasn't sure they were Iraqi - but it helped illustrate the reality. I could have used images from East Africa but chose these. White people have problems relating to any of this stuff unless it happens to white people - you know what I mean? Likewise, we see women fully exposed - in muslim countries they are often all wrapped up - hence the visceral reaction can be, "They are not the same as us - they're like nomads or desert folk - so they aren't really like us." I really think that is the Joe and MaryJo Six pack attitude. It helps people not feel so bad.
I really think people need to see these things. Today Twitter cancelled the accounts which show the beheadings, et al. The West is in denial. People don't die - they pass on. Eye-roll..
Hard to darken the evil that is ISIS but a couple of the photos are fake - the forced circumcision one is from Bosnia and the women are from Egypt (being held prisoners). ISIS has committed unsepakable horrors, against women, against non-Muslims and against many Muslims, and wants to do more. But we don't need the doctored stuff. Last week they slaughtered 700 men and boys from a Sunni Arab Muslim tribe in Syria that had the temerity to revolt against them and gleefully uploaded the images of the beheadings onto Youtube.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Like I said - I used images that have been available to illustrate the atrocities. I suppose it can be a broader indictment of radical Islam considering the images are from different 'venues'. Thanks for pointing it out.
