Gee...what gives? Can't folks have any fun these days? The Queen looked quite happy in showing Papa Francis her gifts to him. I bet that Balmoral whiskey will go down smooth after a long day plowing the fields and planting seeds in the Lord's Vineyard. ^^

ReplyDeleteI have the impression that this view was well represented among the parents who came to the meeting. And in my own home we would have been ok with Pope Francis being pleased with the gift of alcohol if not for his comment that us alcoholics have patronized from 500 to a 1000 different bars. An impossible number because most of us only patronize a favorite few and he only said it to make us look like lascivious lushes.

ReplyDeleteWith each passing day, these past 10 days, that Balmoral Whiskey sure sounds tantalizing. I can just about now sit under the shade of the huge pine tree in the backyard and sip on it nice and easy...Balmoral on the rocks, please!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the story of the Holy Father and the Queen's meeting is still a nice one that makes me smile. It is one I can still comment on without feeling like I know nothing. ^^
