The Duchess of Cambridge.

Modesty chic.
.
Aside from being beautiful and married to the heir to the throne of Great Britain, Prince William - Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge dresses beautifully and modestly.  (At least for public appearances.)  Very cool.

  1. I think every single public photo of her that I have seen has been, on the whole, modest and pretty and lovely. They also seem very much in love and happy. I hope and pray for their marriage.

  2. I do too. I really like them - they are absolutely refreshing.

  3. Yes, and have you noticed how they are always looking at each other? (Maybe for support- I don't know-, but it's nice.) So many political and entertainment couples seem to operate as completely separate units in public. They may hold hands, but they never make eye contact with one another.

  4. Well, all the major self-appointed modesty crusaders would call her provocative for having bare arms and such a prominent waistline. And I'm sure the hussy wears pants from time to time.

I hate the Catholic internet. Except this place of course :)

  6. terry, i could not agree more. it's soooo refreshing (perfect word choice of yours, btw) to see a young woman (beautiful & high-profile) dress modestly. setting a good example (for the most part - i'm not going into the pre-marital stuff ;)

  7. Did you see the video of her walking down the stairway leading from the aircraft in like 4 inch heels??

    I would have killed myself..

And aside from the bare arms and prominent waistline she also shows COLLAR BONES!! Scandalous :)

But I agree with everyone else..she is a lovely young lady who carries herself well.. I'm sure every designer is drooling to be able to dress her

  8. Now T-man, if she'd only veil her head, she'd be perfect, right? But don't forget that she and her husband (and his entire family) are heretics, usurpers, and beneficiaries of stolen Church property. Don't let stars get in your eyes and admire them too much. I think that you need to go to confession for this post.

  9. Actually, some of the more prolific "authorities" on modesty would have women dress not much differently than Muslimas. After all, there is anecdotal evidence that Padre Pio made women wear skirts into the confessional 8 inches below the knee! Obviously that's the divine standard then!

  10. I hope she has a wide ranging and lasting impact on fashion--despite the paperrotzie's hanging out waiting for any arrant breeze of slip up!

  11. My hubby is dazzled by her smile. She is quite lovely and it would be nice to see some of our teenage girls look to her for inspiration. We can hope...

  12. I'm actually a big fan of strapless/backless stuff on beautiful women - I was posting this for the ladies who long for real dresses cut modestly for the ordinary woman. Kate seems to dress like that and making it chic to do so.

As for their living arrangements before marriage - what's new? None of my business.

Cheerio's - I love them. I wanted to buy some this weekend, but I bought granola instead. I have lots of blueberries to eat with them. I only like fresh blueberries on my cereal - with sugar of course.

  13. Terry--the raspberry stands are out this weekend here...love em :) A couple of years ago I figured out how to freeze them so I can have berries year round :) I chop them up to put in waffles. Also great in smoothies.

  15. The men who get all lustful and rankled seeing a woman's shoulders are probably all the one's who also simply can't handle women in pants. Honestly, if you weren't told it was "sexual", you'd never think it was. Now I see the "sexual" everywhere, and it's obnoxious. Thanks trads for helpng me keep peace of mind. Thank you ever so much - where would the world be without such experts?

Will & Kate just wowed everyone here in Canada - they are indeed refreshing, and yes, she is quite lovely, elegant - a true class act. William has grown into a fine young man, and I wish both of them many years of happiness together.

You can't help but warm to this young couple. They are happy and rarely without a smile for each other. Truly a breath of fresh air.

    I hate Catholics…”

If you go to 469fitter at youtube, you will find therein contained a Catholic Marriage ceremony. (titled Mrs. Libby).

Towards the end of the clip, (@ 8:15) the young girl comes in.

That is a proper dress and proper respect for the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony.

She comes in, kneels before her daddy, gets his blessing after her daddy lifts her veil, then is handed over to her soon to be husband, that does exactly what every husband should do; take his wife before the Blessed Sacrament.

The first kiss of this couple was after the Padre said they were now man and wife.

The couple had a proper courtship, directed by the Priest that would later marry them.

I understand the Prince and that used cow he brought gave example of the new way by shacking up before maiking it official.

It would not surprise me if they adopted a child from China and asked Sir Elton John to baptize it.

Who would be listed as the godmother? John or his sodomite partner?

God will not bless anything that begins in mortal sin.
