Corapi video...

In transition.
.
Sporting a Harley Davidson leather jacket, but no spray tan.  The bush is still dyed.  I really was interested in seeing how he looked after all the changes.
.
Now I'm thinking Jesse Ventura more than Charlie Sheen.

Okay, I'm not into the male menopause jacket.

And I am really offended that virtually nobody online seems to give a hoot about the womam (women?) he used sexually for years, an ex-prostitute. Many prostitutes end up in that lifestyle because the men in their lives have used and abused them from a young age. Father Corapi (persona Christi to many) simply was one more manifestation of that attitude of use and abuse of women. Yet everybody is busy pouring out their prayers him while ignoring the suffering of that woman. I will be the first to state I don't think that woman is innocent (birds of a feather---I am quite sure he did not associate himself with people of integrity, more likely he was surrounded by whores and crooks), but the simple fact of the matter is that he used them as sexual objects.

However disgusted I may be about what I perceive to be misogyny in both his behavior and the Catholic blogosphere's reaction to his life of cohabitation with an ex-prostitute (whom he could never even give a legitimate relationship), I could only find myself feeling pity when I watched this video.

The bottom line is that it seems that from the very earliest times after his conversion, NOBODY was protecting Corapi from Corapi. Everybody played into his narcissism and grandiosity (apparently including Fr Flanagan), and in the end, the crash-and-burn was probably a foregone conclusion.

  3. Even if his denials are true, he has made some very poor decisions not just in the handling of his private life (from various reports), but also in the way he has carried himself in public.

  4. I see this sort of thing in politics a lot. You get enough people around you saying yes, because they see some golden calf off in the distance, and even if the "head guy" isn't after it... he walks the path paved by "Yes Sir!"

I really think that this is PARTLY the case here, I think he is surrounded by a lot of people who dont care about the Faith... they see it as a vehicle.

Listen to how he uses "WE"

"The only thing that's constant in this life is change." -John Corapi

This is not the kind of language he used when he was a regular on EWTN.

This is the first time I've seen the guy.

He looks like he's auditioning for a guest spot on "Sons of Anarchy."

  11. It is only by coincidence (If you believe in such a thing) That I wrote and recorded a song called "Come On Home".
Here is a youtube link if you are vaguely interested.

I think this could apply to Fr. Corapi.
(By the way I don't make money by having anyone look or listen to this song. Wish I did. lol)
