Okay! Now this is exactly why I think Fr. Z is so funny!

Annotating another crazy column by Richard McBrien, Fr. Z notes:
.
[And now the wheels come off McBrien’s walker.]
.
Now that is funny!  I laughed out loud.
.
Read the article here - it is a good one - and the animation at the end is LOL funny.

See people - I like Fr. Z.

I get a kick out of the image of the fish wrapped in the National Catholic Reporter newspaper, like he did here:

    LOL!

I don't read his blog, but that picture is FUNNY!

Well, any joke about the National Catholic Reporter can't really help being funny, but Father has a great grin in that picture. =D

  3. He engages in the same sort of attacks that he criticizes in others.

Perhaps the Paypal balance is low and he's cranky.

  4. You know, Fr. McBrien is such a "has-been"...why give the guy any attention?
He's 'you-know-whatting' in the wind, as far as I'm concerned!
    Deny the Devil?
Deny the reality of power of Evil (apart of social injustice, which, yes, is evil but come on...Fr. McB don't you read the papers???..there are all kinds of unexplained murders, sexual assaults, family problems that cannot be just 'naughty teens', men and women with horrendous alcohol, drug, sex and violence problems)?
What planet is this guy living on?
    I mean, really?
I purposefully did not make a comment on Fr. Z's blog; I'm making it here (because I love you MORE, Terry:<)!)...
Listen, exorcism is not so far from what I think of every time I hear confessions, do spiritual direction, or try to talk to folks on the phone...it's just NUTZ out there...and it's not just human wrong-doing...Fr. McBrien should listen to a few hours of confessions, listen to distraught folks in spiritual direction and pastoral counselling and just "be there" in the midst of all the crap that goes on...he might change his tune...and if he doesn't, he's worse off than the folks who need his help.
    Okay.
    I'm done!
