"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

Understanding chastisement...

"...that they may recognize that man is punished by the very things through which he sins." (Wisdom 11:17)

  1. Yep. Good proverb, especially for teaching children God's ways. AKA "what goes around comes around" or "you shall reap what you sew".

  2. Anonymous8:59 PM

  3. Um ... I think it's "we reap what we sow".

  4. Ain't it the truth....
