We travel to the Shrine every year (I'm from Maryland)---the children were so excited, recognizing the Eucharistic chapel where the Holy Father stopped to pray--- This is a wonderful day!
I watched the coverage with my kids...clapping and cheering. I was glad to see he had such a warm reception. Then we went to a local birthday party held in his honor and celebrated there too. My kids had a memorable day all due to the Pope's visit...very neat.

I think Bush is going to become a Catholic.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne, that thought crossed my mind during the past few days. His brother is Catholic. I'm going to pray for him and his family now.

ReplyDeleteMy sister and I have long maintained that when Bush leaves the White House, his first stop is going to be RCIA.
ReplyDeleteThis cemented it in my mind.
My favorite part was when that woman sang Happy Birthday and the Holy Father was standing by the yellow tulips. He looked SO happy!
