Prayers for Peace

  1. Today’s readings speak to how we need to be careful of the words that we use as they show our true self. A good tree does not bear rotten fruit nor a rotten tree good fruit. I read how Ukrainian nuns now live in bomb shelters awaiting their fate with other woman, children & elderly. Captured Russian soldiers, only boys, tell how they never were told they would be sent to war. They call home to tell shocked parents where they are and what they were expected to do. A desperate Putin threatens nuclear attacks. I fear Peace is a long way off unless the Russians depose him. Only divine intervention can stop this now.
