This is definitely a sign.

Yes it is.

Those are seraph wings on a pillar of cloud suggesting an angel and the Old Testament account of the pillar of cloud-pillar of fire in the Exodus.  No doubt about it.

The chair?  I think we're looking at sede vacante there.

. . .

Happy Friday!

  1. May those Seraph wings prepare us all for what is coming. Here in So. Cal. there are fires everywhere there is dry bush and dried up trees. Water is scarce due to the drought and folks are overwhelmed by the heat. In the Northwest, the fires are labeled "infernos" as they burn out of control. God's green earth scorched and blistered through and through.

Let judgement fall upon us. May the fire from heaven purify and prepare us for all that will come. May we who still live seek the Lord with all of our hearts and in earnest live the faith with hope.

    1. Amen. In Minneapolis the sky is overcast because of the smoke.

    2. Terry,

Archbishop Gomez has assigned Bishop-elect Robert Barron to head the Santa Barbara diocese. It is known as the French Riviera of the West Coast. I sure hope he will enjoy and bless many people in that area of God's country. It is a very beautiful area and he will be kept busy.

I hope on his days off, he can pull up a nice cozy beach chair and enjoy what's left of the summer wind and take in a view much like in the picture you have shared with us. ;)

  4. One noon a couple of years ago as I was driving my cat home from the vet, I looked up and saw an iridescent cloud over Monterey, CA. It is one of the most dramatic things one can see in the sky. I took it as a sign of something, but I don't remember WHAT. It was not in the shape of an angel.

    1. Was it over the Cathedral? Were blue-jays involved? I think I know what it was.

    2. I was near the cathedral when I first spotted the cloud--about a block away! But I think the blue jay feeder would be the first to tell you that was not his halo.
