The International Office of Migration has recorded 2,432 deaths linked to Mediterranean crossings this year, but countless more have vanished beneath the waves out of sight of rescuers. The official count was set to increase as authorities counted the dead from three shipwrecks off the Libyan coast. Just this morning I read an article on Asia News about hundreds of refugees from Africa and Syria drowning in the Mediterranean when their boat capsized. I also read a story about some who suffocated including a small one year old while trying to get into Italy. The smugglers were arrested.
ReplyDeleteSo many tragedies all over the world, so much t pray and to hope for. May our Lady, Star of the Sea take pity on her little ones who are lost and never accounted for.
Here is the story on the migrants who suffocated in a food truck. It was found abandoned on an Austrian highway and the bodies were already decomposing. So sad and too tragic to die in such a way.

DeleteThe difficulty I have with this is that they're not following the law; Christ and His family followed the law when they returned to Bethlehem for the census. Christ Himself followed the law on taxes, albeit getting the money from a fish. These "migrants" are colonizers, wanting the benefits of the Western welfare states, being picky about wanting to go to the country with the best benefits, complaining about free food and housing because it doesn't comport with their muslim demands. They have much in common with the Trojan horse as they have no desire to assimilate but want to colonize and impose sharia.
ReplyDeleteThe UN is calling for Europe to change its immigration laws. How about a call for Africa and the Middle East, the places from which these invaders originate to reform their governments corrupt policies? These people are from countries with plenty of aid from the West which doesn't reach the populace either due to graft or incompetence; there are warehouses full of wheat which is spoiling, when food is distributed, people typically pay and women without a man's protection are denied. When I say "a man" it could mean a babe in arms, just as long as it's someone with the right equipment.
This is not Europe's problem; the fact that these people want out of their homelands and into the modern world doesn't mean Europe has an obligation to allow itself to be taken over.
