I won't be watching. I freely acknowledge the role heterosexuals have had in mucking up marriage, but that doesn't mean we should further pervert an institution and turn it into a free-for-all. The purpose in Hollywood choosing this particular host (who, btw, is not especially talented) was to further brainwash America into thinking it's normal to have two parents of the same sex. Besides, I don't go to the movies anyway.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a drinking game...every time NPH mentions the words husband,kids, married and family you slug back a couple ounces of Jack Daniels. By the time the first hour is over you'll be blotto'd. Personally I will be watching Downton.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time I watched the Academy Awards. We go to so few movies during the year and you know they aren't the ones the academy honors (like Brokeback Mountain). Let's see we saw the third episode of the hunger games, the film about breaking the Nazi's code with the what's-his-name from Sherlock, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Captain America. I wouldn't even know what they were talking about.

I'm glad "Ida" won for best foreign film. A must-see movie, and is already available at Netflix. It's a challenging film--I'm not sure it's the kind of movie that deepens your faith, but it's obviously a very Catholic film.
I actually missed the locked out of the dressing room piece because I was watching Downton for a minute or two.

I saw that picture where he is in his skivvies. Washboard abs but should we care? I don't. I liked looking at the pictures of the dresses. One dress could feed lots of people but well, they looked lovely. ^^
DeleteI already watched the entire season of Downton when it was airing in Great Britain. I watched the Christmas special too. Hold on to your shorts though since some of the drama was not as credible but a real eye roller. ^^
I'm thinking some of the drama is less credible already - I'm sure there will be surprises but the writing seems weaker this season. Still love Maggie Smith though. Rose's mother is a mean lady - isn't she!

DeleteAGGGGHHHHHH, would NPH please just take a damn vacation???? Of course he had to go all "gay sterotype," and come out in his skivvies..cause you know, narcissism they name is Neil...(Terry did I ever tell you I couldn't stand NPH??) I think award ceremonies are boring, especially this one so seeing his smug mug plastered everywhere did not make me want to tune in..besides, "Walking Dead," is on and they have their first gay kiss....Ahh...the gays survive the ZombieApocalypse (at least for now) and are the only ones to be clean cut and well dressed.

The awards were very boring though. I felt sorry for NPH.
