Funny stuff ...

Jazz hands!

Just David!  Just Jack!

It could happen.

'Cranky' Cardinal Burke.
(I saw him called that on a news site.)

Did it hurt?
When you hit the ground?
Huh?
You know, when you were thrown out of heaven?

I like these dancing priests the best.

Michael Voris wanna be.
What?

  1. I've heard it said that Fr. Benedict Groeschel prayed persistently that Madonna, the singer, would become a Carmelite nun. Now that he has gone to God, perhaps he'll be heard even louder. Let's wait and see.

    1. I thought of that immediately when Fr. died - perhaps Madonna will be touched by Sr.'s cover and return to the sacraments.

  2. I love the good Sister's rendition and the video which mimics the Madonna video but puts religious imagery in place of ...what was there before...(well, plus I can't stand that old hag Madonna, I hope she flips out when she sees this. )

The priests dance off was funny, but I notice there is nothing but gray heads in the audience. Hopefully that video will reach a younger audience.

The good cardinal always" looks" like a sour old gas bag...Im sure he is not in real life but.someone needs to tell him to smile for the cameras once in a while! I wouldn't want HIM to come to my Thanksgiving dinner with a puss like that on!

I just noticed, is the other priest that is dancing with the cute priest wearing a wig? What the hell is going on in that picture, its like a priests gone "wild," thing except for the required older lady parishioner in a track outfit (Mom, is that you????)

  3. I don't think you have to worry about Card. Burke showing up at your house for Thanksgiving...

    What?

    1. I am sure he is perfectly good, hyper intelligent man or he wouldn't be where he is now.

Whatever you think about him, good or bad, you have to admit his" public image" exemplifies the image of a Church out of touch with the reality of what is going on in the streets, from his overflowing ceremonial garb to his above it all tone. There is also that little thing about the Pope putting him on a leash..so their must be something else going on here..But that is for now. He is only in his 60's (which is like a teenager to the Vatican) so he shall return I am sure.

And he needs to smile once in a while for the camera.,you gotta admit it wouldn't hurt.

    2. Except that the church Is eternal, not changing with the whims of the secular world. You might not realize but he dresses in keeping with his position and it would be scandalous for a prince of the church to do otherwise. Leash? He'll have more time to write and maybe come home more often. I see his reassignment as pandering to the ssecular world, who don't want to hear truth. Like the X-Files day, the truth is out there. Burke will still speak truth and church teaching will not change.

    3. Relax Nan, no one is saying the Church teaching is going to change..and that wasn't the point of the letter (again, and again, and again...though its interesting the radical reaction that little letter which had no change in doctrine, received from Burke and the tradies...a bit defensive..) I very much realize why Burke dresses like that , thanks anyway for the reminder, however, not all Cardinals do so. And it would be far from scandalous if this"prince," didn't dress "up," quite so much and act quite so princely..(granted its a matter of taste but Im not really into this holdover from the European middle ages kinda royalty thing...) Look at the Holy Father.

Your guy will live to fight another day..as I said he is only in his 60s so he most likely outlive the Holy Father and be in some one's good graces again.

    4. People are pointing at cardinal Burkes reassignment as a sign that the church will change her teaching. I think it's a bait and switch. Church has always welcomed sinners of eevery type but people act llike this is something new.

PPeople also poiint to letter and predict it will be used as though a change in doctrine like vii docs were. Harder this time bc teh innernet so people know to complain if anyone tries that.
