  1. I have yet to shop but your suggestions are wonderful, Terry. This year I think I will give baked goods as presents since I am in the poor house. My cookies and breads will be baked with much prayer, hope, and love for baby Jesus and treasured recipients whom I hope will enjoy them.

Papa Francis's birthday is in two days time...I wish I could send him some goodies but they will arrive much like that redneck chia pet...can't risk that! I would love to send some to Papa Emerito as well. <3

    1. Your gifts are the best - everyone will love them.

I'm just playing with the gift ideas - and I wanted to show the Nino - he's so sweet with the sheep.

    2. Gracias, Terry. I will hopefully start baking tomorrow. I have lots to do but will try and just take one day at a time and pray, pray, pray!

The image of the Lord as a young shepherd is wonderful! I looked at the detail and I agree, well done. The sheep look especially happy...ah...were I one of them! Haha! ^^

  4. I guess all the love doesn't include rednecks. Didn't you once say you hated Mitt Romney?

    1. I have no recollection of saying I hated Mitt Romney nor have I any recollection of saying I hate anyone. Not sure where you picked that up.

But yeah - I love rednecks - cool Chia Pet, huh?

    3. I wonder if I may have said I hate the idea of him in the Whitehouse or I hate the idea of a Mormon in the Whitehouse. I'm not a fan of Mormonism.

    4. Sorry Terry, that's what you may have meant, but I don't believe that's what you said. I regret not having have the date the comment was made. Paul

    5. I found a post where I said I didn't like him - but I never said I hated him.

  6. Hey Terry, sorry for being contrary, but your comment about rednecks wasn't funny. You have from time to time made jabs at rednecks and probably due to your contempt for their politics; though I wonder who in your mind is a redneck; is it the cabal at Duck Dynasty or most Romney voters---who knows? But your "humor" was really was nothing more then a gratuitous mockery and is incongruent with the spiritual maxims you lavishly post and your politics. But I guess you won't see it that way. Paul

    1. Thanks Paul - I'm really sorry then. I only now just found out about Duck Dynasty. Seriously, I never considered redneck as a real category of person - just an attitude, I suppose. Some of my favorite comedians seem to make a living off redneck jokes - Jeff Foxworthy comes to mind. That was the spirit I was posting the chi pet photo in.

I'm really sorry you were offended. I'll try to be more sensitive to rednecks in the future.

Thanks very much for pointing out my hypocrisy and my blind spot in this regard, I will try to amend and do better.

      Merry Christmas.

  7. Hey Terry, I am sorry I misunderstood your context of the word "redneck." I guess I read to much stuff on line and assumes everything is narrow and political. But the word is a perjorative". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redneck.
Actually Terry, I wasn't thinking hypocrisy, but poor judgment and given my reaction, I am guilty as well and am far too impulsive; it's been a good lesson for me.I sit corrected. By the way, I also love colonial art and architecture you post. Keep me your prayers, I sure need them. May you have a blessed Christmas.

    Sincerely,

    Paul Wagner

  8. No problem Paul - I benefitted from your comments. I have to be careful with humor because sometimes it comes across mean spirited.

    Merry Christmas!
