I wonder what you'll think of poor Bernie and Virgil when you see their souls shining more brightly than yours in Heaven. Snob.

  2. Yeah, felt it up here in Toronto.
My oak dining room table began to shift under my hand.
The baby woke up early, but the older girls felt nothing. O well

  3. I live in the DC area and am up now 'cause I'm still antsy and can't get back to sleep. Never been in an earthquake; it was crazy. A pretty big jolt several times. I know that this will blow over and go back to normal, but things like this do make you think. I ran over to our adoration chapel for a while afterwards, it was pretty crowded for that time of day. Christ really is comforting in times of strife. He is the rod of which all is measured. I do love how focusing on Him makes all things right.

However, it's times like these that make you think about that Chinese curse that says, "May you be born in interesting times.".

  4. I was readng about "theology from below" and its errors, i.e., God was just an exceptional man when it hit in Bethesda, Maryland, lol. It felt like the vibrations one feels when close to a dryer at the end of the spin cycle. Chandelier on the ceiling was swaying. Interestingly, a man working on a house next door said that there was first a mighty gush of wind. God likes reminding us who is in charge :) What is most remarkable is how little apparent damage there seems to be relative to the quake.

I imagine Terry will be very happy for them, just as they will for seeing him in Heaven.
