This is so sad!

With all that's going on these days...  Now this:
.
A US federal appeals court ruled Friday that Anna Nicole Smith's heirs will not receive a penny of the more than 300 million dollars she claimed from her billionaire husband's inheritance.

.
The Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals in California ruled in favor of E. Pierce Marshall, the son of Texas oil tycoon Howard Marshall, whom the late Playboy centerfold married in 1994 after meeting him while working at a strip club. Anna was just 26 at the time and he was 89 when Marshall swept her off her feet and they fell madly in love.  Anna gave up a lucrative exotic dancing/modelling career to be a housewife to the man she adored.  Sadly, Marshall died unexpectedly in 1995 when he was only 90, and after a short 14-months of married bliss, breaking the poor widow's heart with grief, forcing Anna to seek relief through medically supervised prescription drug and alcohol therapy.  Marshall's son contested the inheritance, sparking a prolonged legal battle over the 1.6-billion-dollar estate. - Read the rest of the story here.
.
Poor Dannielynn.  (That's the daughter.  The daughter she had with her boyfriend, although she thought it was her 90 year old husband's - oh wait, she thought it was her attorney's child?  No, Zsa Zsa had something to do with it - I think she wanted the daughter in Catholic school.  Wait!  That's another story, isn't it!)

  1. Have you been reading the tabloids again? In some ways it seems like a blessing that Anna Nicole's estate didn't get anything; her daughter's going to have a better shot at leading a normal life.

Terry, I love your blog -- you have so much to offer. But this entry is just way too much pop culture for the likes of poor little me........

    God help us all.

  4. I'm impressed that you stay current on celebrity issues.(hahaha) I hear some insane stories from my kid in LA but my husband hates gossip so I can't really say much except that the place is a melting pot of "crazy"

Elizabeth was telling me about some resumes of actors she had been reading and I was ROTFLOL..... (One resume was written... all breathless and panting... "I can drive a bus and blah, blah, blah at the same time." I have real talent but I'm a professional with depth and a brain. I can also do an accents-(insert nationality here) (hahaha)

I once saw a photo of Larry Birkhead and Howard K Stern looking at Nicole at the same time and I said to my husband - look at the faces of these men , they look kinda funny -like they're drunk or something.....it's weird. Paul said that's what "Lust" looks like... It was repulsive....
    No real love there folks.

  8. Wouldn't it be something if Marshall, in the light of his victory, established a trust fund to pay for the little girl's education? Unfortunately, such benevolence has always be rare.

  9. Just as an aside, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has more of its decisions overturned by the Supreme Court than any of the other 12(?) appellate courts.

Not that I really care. I'm not related to those Marshalls, except maybe through Adam.
