Obama's interesting choices... Amanda Simpson, New Senior Technical Advisor to the Commerce Department.

The news:
.
Amanda Simpson's appointment to the Commerce Department by President Barack Obama marks possibly the first time a transgendered woman has been appointed by a president. Simpson, who underwent the gender reassignment process in the late 1990s while working for Raytheon, was appointed Senior Technical Advisor to the Commerce Department. - Source

Some background:
.
In 2002, Simpson, at the invitation of then-Raytheon Director of Global Diversity Linda Rusk, gave an educational slide presentation to the Raytheon HR Diversity Council (HRDC). At that time, Raytheon had just implemented domestic partner benefits for same-sex couples. In addition, the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest GLBT organization, had recently instituted the Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a tool to measure how equitably corporations are treating their gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender employees. Raytheon scored 86 percent on the first CEI, only missing a 100-percent score by not having a policy protecting employees from discrimination based on gender identity and expression. However, in 2002 there were only 11 Fortune 500 companies with a 100-percent CEI score. - Source
.
In a statement, Simpson, a member of the National Center for Transgender Equality's board of directors, said that "as one of the first transgender presidential appointees to the federal government, I hope that I will soon be one of hundreds, and that this appointment opens future opportunities for many others." - Source

That's a promised Obama change, huh?

Kyrie Elesison. Terry, the Obamas had two Christmas tree ornaments with striking images: one of Mao and one of a transvestie. I am not making this up. We are headed into a darkness America has never known.

Sorry. I really do know how to spell. And maybe it needs repeating: Kyrie Eleison.

  5. Here's the part that gets me. If a straight man has a romantic relationship with Simpson knowing the complete past of the gender assignment, should it not bother him that while the plumbing has changed, that everything else belongs to a man? The skin, the nose, the ears, basically EVERYTHING is still genetically linked to a man.

  6. Tom in Vegas: The authentic "Theology of the Body" says that a male is a male is a male; even if you change around the parts, it's a male.
    Masturbation is masturbation.
Sorry to be so graphic, but, ahem, that's what we're dealing with.
And, for all the heteros out there:
    contraception is masturbation as well.
    Sorry.

  7. Surgery does not a woman make.

  8. You are correct. Surgically altering your gender doesn't change the fundamental truth.

The part that I can't get over is how some men can accept Amanda Simpson as female simply because the male reproductive organs are gone, yet overlook the fact that EVERYTHING ELSE, [the skin (touching); the cheeks (kissing)] those none sexual areas of the body that are still used to convey affection belong entirely to a man. Like you wrote, "male is a male is a male."

  9. Tom in Las Vegas: Unfortunately, masturbation to pornography has rendered many males unable to make a real understanding of genuine love/genital contact with their marital partner as opposed to the video/graphic image of some model. This is basically masturbatory sex, no different than what happens between two men, whether through video or actual contact.
It may look like a female, feel like a female, sound like a female...but it is no female if he/she has been altered. God made that very present in our DNA.
    You are very correct.

Who, as a child, could imagine the world in which we now live, having the conversations we now must have?

  14. His hair looks fried ,but his nails look awesome. His makeup is way better than Adam Lamberts too. I think the hot pink is too much, yet too casual. I wonder if he has an aversion to pant suits? The men I know need their wives to dress them.(pick out their clothing) Poor lad.( I know, not you Mr.Terry, your very fashionable)

These people make us regular women feel bad about ourselves because often times they look better /hotter than we do.

    Is hell full yet?
