"Are we prepared to promote conditions in which the living contact with God can be reestablished? For our lives today have become godless to the point of complete vacuity. God is no longer with us in the conscious sense of the word. He is denied, ignored, excluded from every claim to have a part in our daily life." - Alfred Delp, S.J.

The Holy Father's First Vespers of Advent

Read all about it here:
Ist Vespers In St. Peters

It reads like a review of an opera or a play. Critical analysis, checking out who was there and what they wore, etc. (That's what I don't like about St. Agnes sometimes. I often think many people are there just for the music and the liturgical costumes.)

How prayerful.

  2. That is why I go to the 6:30AM. Today Christopher Beaudette had the Mass. Now he is an excellent priest! Such a refreshing change at St. Agnes.

My son, liturgy, music, and vestments are meant to be noticed. The website you link to is written by an expert - very sensitive to these things when they are not what they should be.

I'm happy you like the early Mass at St. Agnes, it is a Church for everyone.
