Action Alert! The Hamilton Electors have until December 19 ...

Alexander Hamilton, First President of the American Theater.

What if the election was overturned?

My biggest regret would be that it could turn out that Charlie Johnston's prophecies are correct.

What?

Seriously, 40 Electors are asking for a briefing on the Russian interference/influence in the 2016 election.  There is a website for that too - Hamilton Electors.   The Hamilton Electors claim is this:

The United States was set up as a republic. Alexander Hamilton provided a blueprint for states’ votes. Federalist 68 argued that an Electoral College should determine if candidates are qualified, not engaged in demagogy, and independent from foreign influence. Mr. Trump shows us again and again that he does not meet these standards. Given his own public statements, it isn’t clear how the Electoral College can ignore these issues, and so it should reject him. - Snowflake Press

Saturnos are spinning!

What?

Song for this post here.

  1. They're not thinking it through. If no candidate receives 270 votes, the House decides based on the top 3 who got votes; I read that as the top 3 in the general election because the candidates must qualify to go on the ballot in each state, thus, putting forward a candidate who wasn't on the ballot on each state would go against our democratic republic.

I also don't buy the arguments that Trump is unqualified; he has run several businesses and has been successful, despite the commentary about bankruptcy - that's a tool for restructuring and is legal, so why would that knock him out of contention?

What I get out of this contentiousness is spoiled brats who couldn't win despite voter fraud. We need a voter ID. The argument against that, that poor people can't afford it is BS. You have to have ID to buy booze and cigarettes, go to the doctor, collect welfare, get on a plane, buy antihistamines and low income people qualify for a free or low cost ID - in MN it costs $.50 in some circumstances.

    1. Thanks Nan, well said. With some it is never about the facts but about "how it makes them feel." In some quarters of American society, generalizations are the norm, not specifics.

Now, I am going to enjoy my day despite the naysayers.Snow covered San Gabriels, sunny bright blue skies as the birds sing God's praises.
