Action Alert! The Hamilton Electors have until December 19 ...

Alexander Hamilton, First President of the American Theater.

What if the election was overturned?

My biggest regret would be that it could turn out that Charlie Johnston's prophecies are correct.

What?

Seriously, 40 Electors are asking for a briefing on the Russian interference/influence in the 2016 election.  There is a website for that too - Hamilton Electors.   The Hamilton Electors claim is this:

The United States was set up as a republic. Alexander Hamilton provided a blueprint for states’ votes. Federalist 68 argued that an Electoral College should determine if candidates are qualified, not engaged in demagogy, and independent from foreign influence. Mr. Trump shows us again and again that he does not meet these standards. Given his own public statements, it isn’t clear how the Electoral College can ignore these issues, and so it should reject him. - Snowflake Press

Saturnos are spinning!

What?

Song for this post here.

Obama and Romney: I don't think they like each other.

Yes I watched the debate.

I imagined that Obama was viewing Romney as a phony conservative Brooks Brothers suit, CEO manipulating numbers for the share holders, Book of Mormon door-to-door snake oil salesman whose right-wing values need to be suppressed.

On the other hand, I imagined Romney viewing Obama as a Socialist Black Panther elite,  Affirmative Action Harvard scholar-upstart, who isn't going to dictate to him or his constituents.

That's just my imagination as regards what these guys maybe were thinking of each other during their down-time.

I really got the feeling they don't like each other.

DNC in Charlotte.

She looked good.

Just a couple of thoughts...

I didn't realize the DEMs were so in-your-face pro-abortion.  I know they are pro-choice - I thought that's how they are supposed to say it - but that woman from NARAL really pushed abortion.  No more pretending.  (I haven't been keeping up with the pro-aborts propaganda I guess.)

I actually thought last night's deal was pretty exciting - I watched it from start to when the power went out at my house.  No, I did not watch the Republican Convention until Romney's speech.  The power  came back on just when Mrs. Obama was wrapping up.  She did good.  What?  She did.  In fact I thought Kathleen Sibelius actually presented well too.  Don't worry - I see how it all works now...

So here's the deal.  Like it or not - last night's coverage showcased the United States we live in.  The celebrities were in the audience, the hot button issues were being approved, change was acclaimed, 'if you work for it' that is.  As for the change, the advances, you have to wonder, how are you ever going to take back from women what they claim as their right?  The people who are up there on the platform are the ones calling the shots.  If they win - their platform is the future - and it seems to me it is what the rest of the world wants from us as well.  They kept saying 'this is change'.

It sure is.

I blame it on the Novus Ordo.

BTW - I heard people mention God - even Rahm Emanuel said God bless America.  I mention it because some people were saying God was banned from the Convention.

Disclaimer:  Nope - I do not support the Obama people at all - but they were so convincing - I see why popular culture follows along and believes in the hope and change proposition.  The Dems have always had star power and trend on their side.

This is very cool: Michele Bachman News...

For me, this news is proof Congressman Bachmann is NOT crazy:

The Thomas More Law Center today announced that Congresswomen Michele Bachmann (R- MN) has agreed to serve on the Law Center’s Citizens Advisory Board.
In accepting service on the Advisory Board, Congresswoman Bachmann stated, “I am pleased to join forces with the Thomas More Law Center. They are in the courts aggressively fighting the internal threat to America posed by radical Islam.”

Congresswoman Bachmann is a member of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. As a member of that Committee, she has steadfastly advocated for peace through strength to ensure America’s national security.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center, commented, “We are honored to have the counsel of a tough, tested, true American patriot; a person who puts her country above politics, party and political correctness. She understands and shares our concerns about the internal threat to our nation posed by Stealth Jihad as well as maintaining the Judeo-Christian values that made this nation ‘the shining city on the hill.” - Read the entire press release here.
Works for me.

Toldja she was smart.  Yes I did.  I did!  Yes! I! Did!

I watched the debate last night.

Gingrich, Romney, and Perry - politics as usual - same old same old.

Cain - no way in hell.  "You keep talkin', but you ain't sayin' nothin'."

Bachmann - one thing about this woman - she is living proof Palin was clueless and inept.  Bachmann is not dumb.

Ron Paul - I like him.  I agree with him.  He's just so ... old.

If I had to choose - Huntsman and Santorum - my two favorites.

"Gangster Government": Seriously, I'm beginning to like this lady...

Michele Bachmann
.
The House Tea Party Caucus founder, Michele Bachmann said, "I don't take back my statement on gangster government," a phrase she used at a tea party gathering in April. "I think that there have been actions that have been taken by this government that I think are corrupt," she said during her appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press." - Source
.
"Gangsta!"  After all, Obama is from Chicago.

I suppose she had to say something...

In her speech, the first lady focused on the issue of childhood obesity and her "Let's Move" initiative...
.
"When African American communities are still hit harder than just about anywhere by this economic downturn, and so many families are just barely scraping by, I think the founders would tell us that now is not the time to rest on our laurels. When stubborn inequalities still persist -- in education and health, in income and wealth, I think those founders would urge us to increase our intensity, and to increase our discipline and our focus and keep fighting for a better future for our children and our grandchildren,"  - Michelle Obama said to the NAACP.
.
Really?
.
I know the US isn't perfect but what is she talking about?  Is she and her husband really in touch with the American people?  Stubborn inequalities exist for most US citizens hit by the depression, no matter what their race.  And Mrs. Obama's big job is childhood obesity?  BFD - no one is forcing poor fat kids to eat junk food and roost on a couch all day, playing with their blackberries, cell phones, iPad, and/or iPhone while watching TV.
.
The Obama's and the NAACP are playing the race card to effect their idea of social change.

John McCain - did he just wake up or what?

Looking for the real Obama...
.
In a speech on the campaign trail in Wisconsin today, McCain said we need to know about Obama's relationship with William (Bill) Ayers - the founder of the Weather Underground - that radical breakaway group of the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). Sarah Palin has been talking about it all along, saying Obama palled around with a domestic terrorist. The argument had been raised in the early part of the campaign by Hillary Clinton of all people - she and her husband have some iffy socialist connections of their own don't they? Anyway - the Dems and the media are saying all of that is old news and it has been settled. Really?
.
He did not know that...
.
Obama was 4 years old in those exciting revolutionary days of Vietnam protest, thus he could hardly have been connected to Ayers at the time. As adults the Ayers and Obamas live in the same neighborhood and served on at least two committees together. Did he know of Ayers past? - most likely - Ayers never kept his past a secret. (Did Bill Clinton inhale or have sex with that woman?) Funny thing is, Ayers isn't the only '60's radical to be rehabilitated to mainstrean American life. In fact, a few have taken jobs in academia, and neighborhood/city politics - and they have been blending in for quite sometime. Coincidently, Bill Ayers is married to Bernadine Dohrn who happens to be an associate professor of Law at Northwestern University of Law - how does that work? Ms. Dohrn was also a leader in the SDS and Weather Underground - and quite a communist. She is quoted here:
.
"We are building a communist organization to be part of the forces which build a revolutionary communist party to lead the working class to seize power and build socialism. [...] We must further the study of Marxism-Leninism within the WUO [Weather Underground Organization]. The struggle for Marxism-Leninism is the most significant development in our recent history. [...] We discovered thru [sic] our own experiences what revolutionaries all over the world have found — that Marxism-Leninism is the science of revolution, the revolutionary ideology of the working class, our guide to the struggle [...]" - Wikipedia
.
Yeah - so when Ayers hosted a fund raising coffee for Obama in 1995, don't you think the wife helped? But Obama didn't know who they were? Yet when pressed, he said something to the effect Ayers had changed his views. I do not think so. Teaching in law schools and universities, active in grass roots politics - what better way to change the system?
.
In 1994 Dohrn said of herself: "I still see myself as a radical."
.
In 1995 Ayers is quoted describing his politics: In an interview published in 1995, Ayers characterized his political beliefs at that time and in the 1960s and 1970s: "I am a radical, Leftist, small 'c' communist ... [Laughs] Maybe I'm the last communist who is willing to admit it. [Laughs] We have always been small 'c' communists in the sense that we were never in the [Communist] party and never Stalinists. The ethics of Communism still appeal to me. I don't like Lenin as much as the early Marx." - Wikipedia

.
Crap - just when I was getting to kind of like Obama. See how things can change before an election?

War of the Roses...

Clinton and Obama are beginning to fight like a couple having marital problems...

While it looks as if Oprah is in trouble with women because she campaigned for Obama...

Yet Bill just dreams about interns.

Press Conference

The President was tough.

I watched the last part of President Bush's press conference this morning. He must not have slept well last night - I could see it in his eyes. And he was not in a good mood - in fact, he was pretty feisty and tough. No nonsense for him today. He suggested that if Iran gets nuclear capabilities we will be looking at WWIII. I have to say I think I agree with him.

"So I've told people that, if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon," said Bush. - Breitbart
