It's going to be a big let down after tomorrow ...

I'm already feeling withdrawal symptoms.

I wish the Presidential campaign would never end ... oh wait - it doesn't - the new campaign begins Wednesday.  In this country the campaigns never end any longer.

So anyway.

What did Charlie Johnston predict?  Obama will not finish his term?  No election either?  No inauguration?  Well, that's something to wait and see, huh?

"I have often said there will be no presidential election this year. Actually, there are some narrow circumstances in which there could be, but the results would be irrelevant. What I was told was that President Obama would not finish his term and that our next stable national leader will not come from the election process. You could have an explosion of events after an election and before an inauguration. You could have Obama declare a national emergency, cancel elections, extend his term and then depart before the extension was up. The most likely scenario is that everything will be up in the air before election, but there are narrow circumstances where that may not be." - Charlie Johnston, Source

Lacking that, we'll have all the online Catholic pundits to follow if we miss the controversy and mudslinging of the constant campaign and politics.

Here's a thought.

Maybe try living in the present moment.

"Look at every suffering and every joy as coming directly from Him, and then your life will be a continual communion, since everything will be like a sacrament that will give you God." - St. Elizabeth of the Trinity

  1. I was sure someone would assassinate Obama but I was wrong. It will be interesting to see how the next presidency ends.

  2. Meh ... where have I read this tripe before? Oh yeah ... some guy named Larry Nichols made very similar predictions years ago when Bill's tenure was almost up.

I will do my civic duty tomorrow. praying the entire time and for many years to come afterwards.

    Our God reigns!

  3. Paul’s letter to Titus for Tuesday November 8 refers to the qualities necessary for older men and older women becoming community leaders....

    1. So true ... you know what else hit home tonight for me? The reality that is life and death. A very dear family friend who has known me since I was a young girl is dying from End-Stage Cardiac disease. I have so many wonderful memories of her, she was always so vivacious, generous and funny. A wonderful cook too! I regret now, not having visited her more often ... always something. Just two weeks ago I talked to her and she told me, "you said you would come to see me and you have not come." I made some flimsy excuse about being busy and that I would soon be there and now today, we get news that she is bedridden and declining fast and I am here sad and crying. I will go see her tomorrow.

Please, all of you, please pray for my friend GE. Ask our Lord Jesus that through the intercession of St. Joseph, he grants her the grace of a happy death. That he send good nurses to care for her in her final days and that she will be surrounded by her family and friends in her final hours.

      Thank you!

  4. Charlie writes,"If, next January, Barack Obama peacefully hands over the reins of power to Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, I will declare myself unreliable and go away."
My prediction, Obama will hand over the reins to either Clinton or Trump. Johnson should keep his word and go away - but probably won't.

    2. Today I noticed a slight adjustment to this prophecy "What I was told was that President Obama would not finish his term and that our next stable national leader will not come from the election process." Today he subs election process this way: The next stable leader will not come from the "political system".

It's a slight discrepancy which allows for a bit of wiggle room.

My mistrust is based upon his repeated attempts to point out what he was 'right' about as proof that his message is of divine origin. There is something off when one attempts to be his own witness, as it were.

I may be wrong - but I think people go way off track with these religious visionaries. The visionaries themselves seem to be off track. The receent Fr. Pavone videos suggest to me he's gone a bit too far as well.

    3. That was shocking about Fr. Pavone and his actions. Is he that desperate to get the message across? And to get folks to vote Trump as a result?
      Poor baby.

  5. Tomorrow? Try today. We are now in a continuous campaign cycle. The Washington Post said so.
