Synod Chat: Not interested...

I'm not sure poor homeless families
are all that interested in who goes to communion - or not ...

I have no say in the proceedings either.  I'll wait for the decrees.

The End.

  1. My sentiments. If you've been on the Catholic webs long enough you should know by now that every time something big is going on there will be people falling on their swords and others rejoicing over freedoms they think the Church is giving them.

I'm going through the life of St Catherine right now. And we think we have ecclesial issues?

    1. St. Teresa - the best advice. Thanks! I was reading about Bl. Jacinta of Fatima this morning - she seems to have forseen our times and she always said, "Poor Holy Father - pray very much for the Holy Father."

    2. I'm avoiding the Catholic websites for as long as I can unless they be trustworthy like Terry's or Deacon Greg's. I made the unfortunate choice of visiting a few last week, two belonging to two popular online priests and one from some unknown who happened to show up on New Advent...no thanks to all the pessimistic speculation and disrespect and lack of charity towards Pope Francis and the Bishops.

I'm with you two though. As far as the Synod goes...this is not the first nor will it be the last...the Church endures til the Lord returns. I welcome the conversations and will keep praying the Holy Spirit moves hearts and soaks them all, Papa Francis and the Bishops gathered with him.

May He set them aflame with love for Christ and for His Church and for His people of all shapes, colors, and sizes and opinions....doctrine alone is useless if the heart is not moved towards love of God on a more personal level and love of neighbor and of course truth!

Holy Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for all gathered in the Synod to remain faithful sons/daughters of the Church not only in word, but in love and in mercy and in charity.

St. Joseph, Universal Patron of the Universal Church, watch over the Holy Father and all Bishops gathered with him. May they seek to imitate you, a man of humility and of a personal love for Jesus.

Let's keep storming heaven with a joyful and hopeful heart...no need to wring our hands unless we're working the vineyard and the linens need wringing! (nvm...inside joke)

      Blessings to all!

  2. I agree, it's all a fuss about nothing because there aren't any divorced Catholics anyway because divorce proves there wasn't a bond in the first place so in turn there wasn't a marriage to be divorced.

Seriously. Why all the fuss? Since most everyone is only cohabiting anyway as proved by most any marriage can be annulled, what difference does it make whether the polygamy is practiced concurrently as in Africa or successively as preferred in the West?

  3. I liked what Msgr Pope had to say today.

Many people are out there with their hair on fire. Not sure that's a sign of the Holy Spirit though.
