It does make for amusing news, eh? I mean gee...what hypocrisy! I thought it was against the rules to "mingle" politics with religion...what with all the separation of church and state and all.
ReplyDeleteSome rag (passing as a newspaper) in SF named her the "most influential Catholic politician today" as they breathlessly reported her "taking the high road" and calling on the kind Archbishop to not attend the March for Marriage event.
Wow...I look forward to his attending and speaking up for the beauty of marriage.
I think she wants to be excommunicated, her slowly ending career could get a big boost if she were to take on that mean ol patriarchy. And I think Cordileone won't bite. Kind of like the theory if the MN bishops wouldn't have supported the Marriage Amendment, it would have passed because the enemies of the Church wouldn't have gone out to vote.
