I wonder if this would be the right time for Archbishop Cordileone to "Unfriend" Nancy Pelosi...

A year ago Pelosi stated:
"I’ve been in this crusade for a long time.
And to see the pace with which it has accelerated
in the past few years is very encouraging." - Source

"Excommunication is medicinal rather than a vindictive penalty, being intended, not so much to punish the culprit, as to correct him and bring him back to the path of righteousness." - Source

Nancy Pelosi is advising her Archbishop now?
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi took the lead in a high-profile lobbying effort to pressure San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone not to attend the controversial March for Marriage event, which she characterized as "venom masquerading as virtue." - Story here.

Really?  Talk about masquerading virtue.

  1. It does make for amusing news, eh? I mean gee...what hypocrisy! I thought it was against the rules to "mingle" politics with religion...what with all the separation of church and state and all.

Some rag (passing as a newspaper) in SF named her the "most influential Catholic politician today" as they breathlessly reported her "taking the high road" and calling on the kind Archbishop to not attend the March for Marriage event.

Wow...I look forward to his attending and speaking up for the beauty of marriage.

  2. I think she wants to be excommunicated, her slowly ending career could get a big boost if she were to take on that mean ol patriarchy. And I think Cordileone won't bite. Kind of like the theory if the MN bishops wouldn't have supported the Marriage Amendment, it would have passed because the enemies of the Church wouldn't have gone out to vote.
