Homeschoolers.

I'll betcha anything some moms dress up like nuns as they homeschool their kids.  "Turn from the waist... turn from the waist.  Remember the shoulders and head turn together - turn from the waist..."  (Because of the veil you know.)
.
I can imagine the fire drills are really cool:  Arms folded, stern facial expression, snapping fingers...  directing orders when necessary over the karaoke-mic:   "Come children, single file.  Quickly children, quickly!  No running!"
.
What?

  1. Blogging has done something horrible to me:

All I want to do is take a vacation in Minnesota :)

Terry, you kill me, and the rest of the Twin Cities bloggers are icing on the cake.

  2. This is what happens when Minnesota gets socked with a lot of snow. Terry is forced to hit the bottle because Ray, Adoro and Cathy can't make it to his house for the weekly intervention.

    I'm prayin' for ya, Dumplings!

My kids and I always wear our pajamas when we're homeschooling.

  5. I made a Madre Superiora cry.

Just like the one in your photo.

I was leaving a Convent in Kansas, and stopped to say farewell to her and her Nuns, when just out of the Mexican blood in me I knelt before the Madre and asked for her blessing.

I had never met her before; but I had always seen her soul in all the Catholic places I had ever been to. Places where angels dwelt, and in which resided the Blessed Sacrament.

I got in the car after she gave her blessing, and was told by the Nuns I was chauffeuring, she cried after I got into the car because no one had ever asked for her blessing.

My Faith stands built on a foundation established by Madres and Faithful Priests that spoke volumes of the Kingdom of Christ merely by their presence.

Saint Therese the Little Flower would kiss the ground where a Priest walked; God graced her with a vocation. She became a Madre like the one in the post picture.

I pray God allow a Madre to be at my side praying for me on that day.

God bless the faithful spouses of our Lord.

    That’s a beautiful picture of a Nun.
