Hey, how did you get a picture of one of my tutees???

(I'm not the one you see holding him, by the way! Just for the record . . .)

  3. Wow - my Catholic recovery/delivery room nurse!

She said, "some women like to have babies because they're cute and they don't consider anything else."
(as she directed her biting tongue towards me and knowing that I had 6 more at home.)

I have always felt bad for my children because they also have had to endure the negativity towards our family that doesn't fit into a worldly mold.

It's a spiritual battlefield out there and you would think that a person could rest in the hospital but no.
The scripture reading on that day was....

Of Such is the Kingdom of Heaven
"And they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God"
    (Mark 10:13-14).

-The people who are using birth control will have a lot to answer for.

    Satan hates kids too.

  4. I can't believe your nurse said that. You are correct - Satan really does hate kids - all of us really.

  5. Belinda,

I would have verbally abused her, right then and there. She would have forever remembered me as "the craziest patient I ever had, the chick who snapped."

It wouldn't help her case that I'm the 9th of 9. There are a lot of people who think my mom should have stopped before the last 7, too.
And what did my parents end up with? Scads of children (now adults) and grandchildren in good times and bad, surrounding the bed of my father as he died, comforting my mother and each other, laughing, crying, offering advice, bickering... what a gift my parents gave us when they gave us each other.
Don't ever forget that that's the greatest thing you could have ever given your kids.

  8. Dear Miss Cathy,
Ticking off the nurses is an error in good judgement. They tend to neglect you and are rough with you after that. You didn't really want your lunch tray now did you??? hahaha
So sorry your pain killers were late. (yeah right)

It's strange to me that you may be the one called to extend the love of Christ to the nurses instead of the other way around.

When you "go off" on a nurse because she's holding your fragile 6 week old,3 pound baby that had 4 surgeries only by the back of the neck they tend to be resentful.

After I fired her (Kinda like a citizens arrest hahaha) loudly and with as much aggression as a mother lion. She got out my baby's chart and wrote furiously for about an hour and a half and I wasn't allowed to look at the chart. Of course "me" being me I did look at the chart and she wrote about how unstable I was.

Which put into question my parental abilities. Would I find SRS when I got home? Would my family life be threatened? What would my family Doctor say when he read the report. Would he believe me when Rose bangs her head or would he think I did it?
The nurse brought unnecessary pain and worry to a family that was already in a great deal of pain. She didn't treat the babies with the care and affection I thought they deserved. Especially mine.

You don't mess with these people. That's why I was banned between the hours of 12:00-2:00 from the nursery when I ticked off a Doctor. They are really sensitive. hahahaha

I get really "pissy" when people don't treat babies as I think they should be treated. This doctor had no empathy and it had just become a job. Besides people of great intellect hate being owned by someone with the intelligence of a Kumquat... in public... in front of his peers.... and staff. hahaha

(Dear God, Do I make the world a better place or a worse place by me being here? I'm not really sure)

  9. Okay kats and jammers.

Since this is a picture from the Passion Movie depicting Satan's favorite child, Judas the suicidal Christ betrayer, who then, are the children that tease and taunt him just before his suicide?

The winner gets to wear the 'I know my Stuff" crown.

I'm betting no one gets this one.

    Pablo,

I didn't know the little devils were supposed to be anything more specific than little devils -- nor did I think that the "child" in the picture was supposed to be Judas Iscariot.

Is this something Mel Gibson explained?

  11. My impression of this ugly baby was that he was or at least he prefigured the Antichrist - who actually was present in the Tempatations in the Desert if you think about it. Cue the Twilight Zone music.

  12. Dear Mr. Austringer,

The children chasing Judas down are the children of Hell, who will mock those of us who are sent there. Traditional Catholic teaching using scripture references tells us this.

    http://www.traditionalcatholicism.org

This site, after entering, at the Sermons and Conferences section, has The Passion of Christ.

A Traditional Catholic Priest gives a conference detailing the movie in Roman Catholic terms.

Roman Catholic Catechism, the Traditional Catechism is amazing.

Mr. Gibson incorporated Traditional Catholicism in his Movie; many people saw it all, but missed much.

When Christ was nailed to the cross, for example, the Romans flipped the cross over to bend the nails. It does not crush Christ, as He went willingly to the cross; therefore the Holy Angels held it up. The crowd was so whipped up by Satan, they did not notice. When Mr. Gibson has the cross flipped back over, it falls with a thud.

    May God bless you all
