Mommie Dearest

Madonna cancels Christmas - LOL!

The devout Kabbalahist - new word for Grinch, or pseudo-Jew - has cancelled Christmas for her family. (Look for the remake of Mommie Dearest in about 15 to 20 years - or rather, when the kids are all grown up and damaged.) Read the entire story here if you are at all interested.

What??? She reminds me of Mister Burns from the Simpson’s, who'll eat one Spanish peanut at a time without the skin.

I hate to say it, but those poor kids are going to break every rehab record there is.

  4. When the kids get old enough, they can come to my house for some comfort food. I get the feeling they are going to need it.

  5. Devil's Advocate:

Am I the only one who would rather see the world celebrating like Madonna (those who leave Jesus out of it, that is) than the average Western household, with the spoiled, overindulged children and the conspicuous consumerism and the stuffing your face with whipped cream until you need to puke?

Macrobiotic is a nasty-sounding word, but I'm sure it's not all that bad. And I LOVE that Madonna's spending limit is $500. That's less than the average poor person in the US spends, I guarantee it.

I think her children are MUCH less likely to end up in rehab than the brats from suburbia who have their every whim indulged.

I do love the headline "Madonna Cancels Christmas."
Man, she has more power than I thought!

  6. Ma - good points.

On a lighter note: I actually think Madonna wants to come back to the Church - she just isn't ready.

  7. Terry,
Yeah, I think she'll be back.
It will be harder for her than it was for, say, me, because I don't have jillions of dollars, a very public shady past, and I'm not surrounded by people who worship everything BUT God. But the Holy Spirit can do anything.
Right now, she's just dabbling, like many fallen-away Catholics.
I get the impression that Madonna so wants to be back home in the Church, but she just doesn't know it yet. She is a lost little lamb, thinking this or that is what she REALLY needs, but she is looking in all the wrong places.
