Dorothy Day has a long & complex history. Her life was in service to Christian principals and she found substance in the RC Church. She is not often mentioned in Catholic circles today because of her abortion and early anarchic tendencies. She would probably dismiss the sainthood stuff as she was living a life expected of everyone.
