December 29, 1936 – January 25, 2017

She made Minneapolis famous.

May she rest in peace.

  1. I ask a thousand uncanonized Mary's in Heaven to pray for her. I always pray to the uncanonized of Heaven because the well known saints are on overload constantly. Imagine being Mary and processing a trillion prayers a year.

    1. Great idea. Moore was raised Catholic, not sure if she remained Catholic - I hope she did. Prayers for her either way.

  3. "Ohhh, Robbb...!" I really loved the Dick Van Dyke Show when I was a little girl. I thought Laura was so beautiful. She made capri pants popular.

  4. Terry,

on another note, did you see President Trump put in a plug for this Weekend's March for Life? (ABC news)

    1. I did see that - he made a big deal out of it in my opinion - even saying how the press ignores it. I ran into a neighbor who is in the military - he has a high rank - can't recall his title however. He said he didn't vote for Trump (and definitely not Hillary) but he said he is very pleased with him now that he is there. I thought that was reassuring. He's served in Iraq and Afghanistan - deployed several times. He's a great guy.

    1. That's a clever use of the lyrics - I hope and pray for that too.

  6. Terry, Mary Richard's "house" is for sale in MN (I hated when she moved into that bland apartment in the later seasons...) for a nice 1.6 mill if you want to pic up an icon. Looking at the house and the inside..Lars and Phyllis were doing quite well for themselves.

    2. I could see me living in that house ..(could have a party in that Family Room where Mary's apartment would be and stream episodes in the background..) though I would need you to come over to help with the landscaping (and by help I mean do all of it...)
