I too love this painting Terry: and especially I am happy it will be going to a church, where it will inspire many: especially alcholics, all addicts, who have such a difficult time - forgiveness of self may be one of the hardest things....
Make sure the copyright symbol is by your name, along with the year. Place symbol, name, year on back, too.
Google "fine art scanning" along with the name of your city. It may take a bit of time to investigate and choose one, or maybe a competent art store can recommend a place. Have your work scanned. Some places professionally photograph the work, as well as scan. Yes, this will cost money, but it is still cheaper than investing in your own equipment and learning how to use it.
Now comes the good part. You will probably receive the imaging on a thumb drive or two. You can send one along with the art to the church so they can make their own reproductions. But now you can have your own prints, holy cards, postcards, notecards, canvases reproduced, at a place that specializes in art reproductions. This way you can control the quality. Not everyone can afford a painting, but a print is usually within reach.
Once you have done this, it will get easier with each time.
This is the year you get resourceful, prudent and wise about your art.
Happy New Year and thanks for the advice - I missed again! I already delivered the painting to the packer/shipper. I will send your tips to the Deacon who will have custody of Matt now. Great advice though!
