Solemnity of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

+

You were seen as our light and surety, we therefore shout to you:
Rejoice, O unsetting star which leads the great Sun into the world.
Rejoice, O pure one, for you opened Eden.
Rejoice, fiery pillar ushering humankind to life on high.
Most-holy Theotokos, save us.

+

Behold, we cry out to you, rejoice.
Become for us a harbor and haven,
for we are tossed about on the sea of adversity,
and of the many scandals of him who wars with us.

  1. Holy and gentle she is. Pure and faithful. Watchful and protective. She is all this to us her children and to our Holy Father, Papa Francis. No wonder he has been able to endure his cross with joy regardless of the negative forces at play.

Pray for us most Holy Virgin that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

  2. Happy Feast day Yaya and Terry ! Indeed, how overwhelming it is that we, messes that we are, have such Love all about us, urging us on, there if we but pray and ask and are humble and lowly (that is: recognize our true selves : who can ever love us in this way but Our Lady ? Bless you both so very much - Lou
