  1. Are you going? If you do, would you say Hi! to Pat for me?

    1. I can't make it - but I would say hello.

  2. In the words of the famous prophet, Adam Ant "don't drink, don't smoke, what do you do?"

    What? You don't, do you?

  3. I'm impressed with how many typos they were able to fit into such a brief flyer.

Lost his job at the Register for "pointing [out] the faith is being compromised from within." That's hilarious. Is "from within" code for "by that rotten, no-good, worstest-"pope"-ever Bergolio"?

As much as I think Pat Archbold's writing is a true scandal, I'd go to that event. Cigars, probably bourbon, guys who like to argue but are most likely well-meaning instead of pricks, more bourbon, and JERK CHICKEN?!?!?!?! I'd be all over that.

    1. I've never been but I know guys who have gone - it is a great time - and the guys are definitely well meaning, all around good guys - sincere in the faith but not tense. I'm told it is a fun event and they look forward to it. The pastor at the church where it is held is a military chaplain as well as a Biblical scholar - he is a great guy.

The women's alternative sounds pretty dull - and horrible.

    2. Oh! A couple of years ago they had Shea and Voris together in the same room. ROFLOL!

  4. Yeah, they seem to bring in all sorts. I saw on their website that they even had sungenis in to talk about geocentrism. I think that's a great model--let everyone talk, not just the ones you already agree with. Like Pope Francis does (don't tell Pat!). Sounds like a good time to me.

    1. It's probably the best thing we have for men in the local Church - several priests attend as well.

  5. Haha! Not going to make it. I heard Sr. Pat was speaking next month?

    1. She turned down the invitation - the date conflicted with her "Living Labyrinth" presentation at the Ann Arbor Alternative Spirituality Conference.
