i once had a friend in joplin. i have no idea if he or his family are still there. please pray for the gallup family and all the survivors and the souls of the departed.
ReplyDeleteJoplin is... wow,... was a great little town. Langston Hughes, and Dennis Weaver (- among others) were born there. Thomas Hart Benton also lived there for a time.
ReplyDeleteKansas city has constant news coverage of the tragedy. Some of the injured have been sent to our area hospitals and we've sent emergency personal down to Joplin. -Search and rescue.
This was the same weather system that moved through Kansas and hit a town west of us. When it passed over our area my husband was at work and I couldn't wake up so we slept through it.... Oh, but for the grace of God.
I can't seem to locate our NOAA weather radio!
