Don't go tryin' to try to please me...

I've upset some people with my posts and comments.

I'm told I'm mean.

That I make people sad...

"You know what makes me sad?

You do!"

(Remember Sarge the therapist in the Geico ad?)

Lighten up and stop taking yourselves so seriously.

  2. that skin you have covering your body...make it thick. And grow up...life is hard. The bumps and bruises I get along the way only help me to adapt... I love the Church! I think I'm finished now...

The last time I was in Namby-Pamby Land, I became enveloped by a cotton candy fog that made it impossible for me to see where I was going.

I just thought I would caution you, Terry, and give you a tip: I was told that rose-colored glasses enable you to navigate through the cotton candy fog. They are kind of spendy, but seem to do the trick (so I've been told).

Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair too(if you have any)! Just so they'll know you are one of them!

    Bon voyage!!!

By the way, that cat looks really disgusted. Looks like he could use a trip to N-P Land too!

  6. "Sarge" throws the box away from the guys head.

A real Jarine would have made him eat those tissues.

Looks like Sarge has a place of his own in mamby pamby land.

Well, whoever the artist, I believe you have captured "cat-ness" well.

  11. There's nothing more delightful to a blogger than starting your day with a diagnosis from someone who is wound too tight.

The pussy cat really shows off your creativity.

  12. Love the cat picture! Is that one of your cats? One of mine has the lynx tufts like that, too.

  13. Yeah--I've been told that I'm mean too..by folks in my OWN parish..because I'm just SUPPOSED to GIVE them my OWN hard-earned money, just because I have a nice-paying job and no family...oh well... I tell them to go get a job and they tell me they make more off of unemployment just sitting on their duff doing nuttin... yeah I'm mean...

I'm even meaner because the horse shelter I volunteer on Saturdays (sweet Skip is my avatar)--the three men hired to feed the horses and clean their paddocks and break the ice off their water troughs decided that the work is too hard (wahh!!) and they had to get up too early (the horses get their breakfast at 6 am) and quit...cmon the work isn't THAT hard,--I do the same thing Sat mornings because the men only work Monday-Friday, the boss lady is really nice, and although you won't get rich the pay is decent..yeah I'm mean...must be nice to be able to quit a decent job because you don't want to break a sweat and can't play video games all night long..

St Michael and St Anthony--thanks you for your assistance in finding my misplaced bag of work papers (also including my iPod with Fr. Z. talks.. :) Thanks be to God.

Off to be more mean..scooping litter boxes does it to me :)

Terry--I wish you could do a portrait of my sweet kitty Cuolomb..he is coal black with with with nose and paws like they've been dipped in milk...I guess that DOES make me a witch :)

You are in good company. I just got accused of being mean myself. At least you haven't lost your head yet like John the Baptist did for POing Herodias.

    PS like the cat.

  15. Draw a picture of a cry-baby playing a tiny violin. Call it "Sob Story" and dedicate it those melodramatic individuals.

  16. Yep - I painted the cat. Thanks.

  17. Terry-- I just LOVE the fur on the cat...so lifelife, I can just feel how lush and thick and soft it is...and you got that little rim around the outside part of the ears just perfect.

I can barely get my cats to sit still long enough to get a photograph :)

  18. Terry - you've been deleting a lot of posts lately. 'sup with that?

  19. Larry - I thought better of some of them and got up at 3 AM and 'eleted' them - they are in draft limbo. I liked the monkey too.

  20. I detailed the cat after seeing the photo online - I will have to reshoot and post. I defined his nostrils better.

  21. Hi Terry-

Is a promise going to be fulfilled this year... Will you feature and emphasize more Mary?

    Anx, waiting.
