Making art...

I've been working intently. Intensely. I do not think that people who make art are normal.

Just a thought.

I wish I could show you...

  1. Is this your work? Man, you are good! Can you elaborate more at what we're seeing.

Terry, pretty soon I'm going to start taking art-related courses in school and oil pastels is a medium that is looking interesting to me. I heard that SENNELIER oil pastels were some of the best oil pastels in the market. I'm quite serious about this endevour, and I want to have the necessary tools to learn and be as creative as I can. Do you think the 24count box of pastels is enough to go beyond the basic colors most neophytes are restricted to? I'm eyeing the SENNELIER 120 count box, but I think that some of those colors may repeat. I don't have to tell you that there is a significant price difference between the 24count box and the 120 count box.

Hope to hear from you soon. God bless!

    Hi Terry -

This is lovely. It looks like St. Gianna and the children are Italian countryside, peaceful and beautiful. She looks calm and strong.

I'm glad you let us get another look at your art (and hear your voice - at least in print!)

    Peace from Susan

  5. This is a painting from the shrine of OL of Guadalupe in Wisconsin - and it is St. Gianna.

Tom - I would buy the smaller quantity set - oil pastels can be worked and blended for different tones - but if you really want to go deep into this eexercise, buy the big set.

  8. Why in blazes are you repeating yourself?
Did you paint that? It's magnificent!
We all knew you're not normal, and we're still here, aren't we?

Ah, so this is yours! wow! (I won't tell you how fabulous you are because that would embarrass you.)

Now tell me this: Is that the hem of God's garment at the top of the painting? Explain, please. :)
