They keep smiling and laughing.
When it has gotten this bad. He has to act - especially when faithful Catholics are dismissed as homophobes and blamed for getting the bishops they deserve. Blaming the oppressed for the sins of the fathers. These really and truly are sins that cry to heaven for vengeance.
Watch and pray.

ReplyDeleteI don't think it is a coincidence that much of this horror is being exposed during the octave of the Assumption of Our Lady, the most pure and chaste creature ever created by God, and defender of faithful laity and clergy.
We mustn't give up on our Faith and beloved, heartbroken Church. As Terry mentions, we must pray. Help is at hand.
I actually feel hopeful--a rare condition in me. I think God will act through the laity. We are so angry and disgusted, and we are so skeptical about the hierarchy's good faith, that, at last, we will do something to clean the mess in our beloved Church ourselves. We will not allow cardinals and bishops to patronize us with promises that they will address the problems. We know they won't. We can't be fooled anymore. May the Holy Spirit guide us to what we can do for our beloved Church.

DeleteAmen! I came away with a sense of hope too especially after last night's Mass. The Salve Regina was sung with such love that I'm sure other folks were moved to tears as well.
DeleteRead Cardinal DiNardo's latest statement and am encouraged. I'm going to pray they resolve to take up the task before them. They will need our prayers and support while holding them accountable too.

Yes, the priests are asking vengeance, and vengeance is hanging over their heads. Woe to the priests and to those dedicated to God who by their unfaithfulness and their wicked lives are crucifying my Son again! The sins of those dedicated to God cry out towards Heaven and call for vengeance, and now vengeance is at their door, for there is no one left to beg mercy and forgiveness for the people. There are no more generous souls; there is no one left worthy of offering a stainless sacrifice to the Eternal for the sake of the world.

This horror is undeniably of Satan. I have absolutely no doubt about that, nor that God, Jesus, and Our Lady heard every cry of terror and pain from the victims, and saw every bit of this dreadful sinfulness, fully knowing it was directed at the faithful Church.
DeleteGod will never abandon us, and Jesus is at our side. I ask all who read this, to please pray earnestly to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, our national patron, for spiritual protection of the laity and clergy, and protection of the American Church. Please spare a few seconds at the end of every Mass you attend to pray a Memorare, a St. Michael prayer, or a Hail Mary for our brokenhearted and wounded Church. Susan, OFS
