Our Lord explained to her: "The sacrifice required of every person is the fulfillment of his duties in life and the observance of My law. This is the penance that I now seek and require." - Sr. Lucia
As I said on Facebook: I think the conspiracy theorists and Fatimists, along with those dubious mystics and seers who claim to offer the 'missing parts' of the Fatima Secret, have drained the devotion out of Fatima and turned it into a cult of suspicion and conspiracy. The continual search for secrets and all too worldly interpretations of what is reported to have been revealed (and or suppressed) has distorted and corrupted Our Lady's original message calling us to repentance, prayer, penance and amendment of life.
My take is that the conspiracy theorists and Fatimists are the ones who will kill the Fatima Pope.

The soldiers that fire bullets and arrows at the Fatima Pope belong to a future Nationalist Army or Army made up of like minded Nationalists.
I'm still sticking to this view....
Ironic that you should come up with this wonderful reflection just as the conspiracy theorists launch a new newspaper...

I am sad that you point out the devaluation of Fatima by conspiracy theorists and others. I always have found it a sweet reassuring apparition. It was a very big part of my growing up with the traveling statue rotating among homes in a parish. With the internet and social media we truely are living in a time where the Tower of Babel dominates. I remind myself that Our Lady said her immaculate heart will triumph in the end. We must always keep that in mind.
