Really?
I was surprised by that, since MSM exists to publicize things like terrorism, mass murder - except of course, for the massacre of Christians in the Middle East and Africa. So what was Trump talking about? The Bowling Green Massacre?
Later in the day, I came across a comment on Charlotte Was Both that may answer my question. The post is about narratives - the narrative we are told, and pretty much the narratives we invent and retell - kinda, sorta. Within his comment, Bill Bannon mentioned that:
There’s been 145 terror murders in the US in 50 incidents since 9/11 and the media never reports the host of small ones in that figure…local papers probably do…two decapitations never reported in big media because it counters their pretty picture narrative. - BB"That's it!" I thought. That must be what Trump meant when he said, it's “gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported.”

I think I feel better about Trump now.

DeleteThe problem is that the White House has less and less credibility and this is a big problem. Little white lies like the curtains Trump put up in the Oval Office were made for FDR. Acturally made for Bill Clinton. Tiles at Mar a Logo designed by Walt Disney for children's rooms. Butler who worked for previous owner and builder MM Post for years debunked that tall tale. When someone lies in small matters how can you believe them in big ones? Trump has been king of the mountain in his sequestered world so long that he creates his own reality which no one can challenge. I do not think he will be very happy in the White House. Everyday in every way he will be challenged.
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely lying about stupid stuff. He accused Obama of the same thing - so one naturally expects a higher standard in this administration. I really wanted to give him a chance but he's lost me completely. He is definitely dangerous. Amazing how Pope Francis critics claim the Holy Father is so dangerous - yet they stick up for Trump and hail him as a sort of savior. It creeps me out.
DeleteI do find it very interesting that those who hate Pope Francis love Donald Trump. When people decide they have all the answers, they always go off the rails into very dangerous territory.
DeleteThe same could be said of those who love Pope Francis but hate President Trump. Imo, hate is too harsh and ugly a word to just be tossed around anyway. Hate attaches you to something/someone while robbing you of your joy and freedom.
