Listen, put it into your heart, my youngest and dearest son, that the thing that disturbs you, the thing that afflicts you ...

I will hear their weeping, their complaints
 and heal all their sorrows,
hardships and sufferings.
And to bring about what my
compassionate and merciful concern is trying to achieve ...
Do not let your countenance, your heart be disturbed.
Do not fear ...
Am I not here, I, who am your Mother?
Are you not under my shadow and protection?
Am I not the source of your joy?
Are you not in the hollow of my mantle,
in the crossing of my arms?
Do you need anything more?
Let nothing worry you, disturb you.

Prayers for the victims and the survivors of the terrorist attack in Orlando, including their families, friends, and lovers.

  1. You too, Terry? The sadder things get, the more 'hopeless,' the more I am moving towards the Blessed Mother. Time to be in the crossing of Nuestra Madre's arms. So glad there is Abbey Roads. Big hugs.

  2. Oh, I can't thank you enough for this. I copied it right into my Evernote Daily Reminder notes section to read over and over. God bless you, Terry. It's on my phone, too, so when I'm out and about I can just look at her sorrowful face and let everything go. I second what Patrick said. Thank you again.

    1. It must be Our Lady's wish then. Isn't this image beautiful?

  3. I was reminded today to pray for the man who committed those crimes in Florida. It came to me while I was looking for some fresh linens to put on my bed. My thoughts went to the news that the man may have had homosexual tendencies and was conflicted about them.
I then felt sad for the man ... compassion too because in his fury and in his rage, there was a void of darkness, of emptiness, of an isolated loneliness which no one could ever hope to fill.

I am not excusing anything this sad man did. He belongs to God now for judgement. All I can do is share what came to me and the reason it came to me was to pray for the man's soul.

Terry, does this make sense to you? I am going to trust the LOrd on this but I am still conflicted.

    1. Yes. It makes sense. Mary at Catholic in Brooklyn first reminded me to pray for him too. So I have been doing so. It's all so sad and confusing.
