Michael Voris is truly prophetic on this one ...

Echoing this week's Gospel.

The most amazing indictment of U.S. Catholic Bishops I have ever heard.

Go here: http://stlouiscatholic.blogspot.com/2013/08/voris-says-it.html

Pope Francis just told young people to make noise ...

Careful what you wish for, Holy Father.  Voris is doing just that.

Ed. note:  Bishop Tobin might agree... he blames himself.

  1. It's fascinating to watch the folks who have Bishop Fever when one does something that they approve of, and then turn and berate any bishop who doesn't line up with their own notions.

    Just an outside observation.

  2. In this case particularly, Voris is not going after the bishops because they don't line up with his 'own notions' or that which he personally 'approves' of, but because they have demonstrated a pattern of behavior not in line with Catholic teaching on faith and morals.

    Just my guess.

    1. Obviously those bishops don't think that they have strayed from the Catholic faith, so perhaps it could be said that he goes after bishops whom he perceives to have strayed from the Catholic faith.

  3. The fascinating thing about the Faith is that God will squeeze every last drop of grace from the lives of bad bishops and priests (lay-people, too)--both for the edification of faithful and for the salvation of the fallen clergy. From this fact, good liberal clergy then take the attitude of "God's in charge, everything's ok, we can take a liberal line on everything (divorce, contraception, fornication, ecumenism, sacrilege, church discipline); everything except the old mass. My old spiritual director and many of the priests in Oregon share that view. They've become complacent since "everything is grace" (which it is), and so they ignore the tremendous dignity and responsibility that God has given us to be co-workers in salvation. For those who decide not to be co-workers with God, well, we have the saints to remind us about the pains of purgatory and hell.

    1. I think the Pope really wants to shake us all out of such complacency - and he'd probably give Voris a wink and a pass - and a blessing to boot.

  4. Voris is young? I do think he is endlessly entertaining (I especially like his little spin with the pencil each time, nice touch but a little effete...) as his videos look like they belong as a segment of the old SCTV show..(the blood splatter graphic made me laugh out loud which I don't think it was supposed to, but am glad he showed restraint with his typical shrill call about "sodomy"! Imagine what he could have come up with for a graphic on that.) I always expect Count Floyd, Edith Prickley, or Lola Heatherton to make appearances...("Mikey Voris I would HAVE your baby! What your already, married..to WHO??")

    1. Hi Mack. Yes - he is very young - I'm told he just turned 30. What?

      I love Lola Heatherton!

Yes - the special effects are fun.

  5. I wish I had the kahunas to speak like that. On the feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist too.

He could probably do without the graphics. They trivialise. The wolf sound effect was pretty funny though

    1. He cracks me up with the theatrics - which may be why some folk cannot take him seriously.

  6. ...but I have to ask, how many Bishops will actually ever see this ? I loved it - and I think he does a Wonderful job of being a strong and faithful member of the laity...
but um..30 ?! really ? my guess is 40+...oh I guess you were not serious.
I am heartbroken that the half-dozen times I was in Minneapolis visiting relatives I was just approaching my return to the Church and did not go to this amazing-looking Church. Now I Know where I will go if I ever get back.

  7. As my ninety-year-old dad would say, I wouldn't want to be a pallbearer at this church.

  9. consolata, Voris would LOVE you for that 40 comment right now if he read this...(wait a minute, its about him so of course he read it..yes, he loves you.)

Totally agree, this is a beautiful church, and this is the way I think a CHURCH should look, not like some suburban track house or a space ship landed.

    1. Why such filth Mack?...truly, why does your mind and spirit always run there? Is it really so hard for you to understand or believe that there are people out there who are genuinely trying to become Saints, according to God's law and what He teaches thru His Church?; As opposed to making their own rules, according to their own urges and desires, remaking a god in their own image to worship and follow.

Your spirit always seems to jump to derision, fault-finding, cattiness, carping, and derision. I sure don't recognize that as any of the fruits of the (Holy) Spirit.

      Voris is a warrior. You're a detractor.

    2. Really Susan..why such idolatry? Because Voris is a obvious media uh..harlot..Even if you believe in what he says can you deny that he is so transparent?

I would love to know how he is "warrior"? Because he throws out verbal bombs from the safety of where ever he films? How is that different from being "catty"? I know the answer because he is saying what you want to hear..

  15. I know nothing about M.V., so I'll forgo the personal critcisms. As for what he says...something has been seriously wrong in the Church for a long time when 50 percent of Catholics would get behind such an obviously anti-Christian (all that goes with that) candidate, but I wouldn't lay all the blame on the Bishops. I know too many people who identify as "faithful Catholics", who go with the culture on nearly every moral issue. God help us!

  17. The adversary must love the way Catholics attack other Catholics, especially when we attack those whom the Holy Spirit has placed over us. Don't you think it would be better to pray and offer reparations rather than publicly castigate them? I think Our Lord gave us the example with Judas. He never exposed Judas for what he was but instead gave him every chance to repent. Terry, I have to say I'm somewhat surprised that you would support Voris in this.

  18. Thanks Catholic in Brooklyn - your kind rebuke is well taken. I made an error in judgment - again.
