St. Januarius

Guys really like the martyrs - the bloodier the better. 19 September is the feast day of St. Januarius.

  1. In could not agree more...I especially like reading the accounts of the English Martyrs in Butler's Lives of the Saints...now THERE were some brave and faithful folks; hung, drawn and quartered...
I did not know what "drawn and quartered" meant until just recently...now there's blood and guts for you. "Faith of our Fathers, living still"!
I hope the blood of St. Januarius liquefies in Naples this year; if not, get ready...!
