I'm as interested in the signs and omens as the next person, but ...

Where are the authorities on this?

I'm not talking about authors, seers, mystics and locutionists either.

It's like everyone seems preoccupied with this guy and that guy, and/or some 'anonymous' locutionist, except for those who maybe should be.

And who is that, you ask?

The Cardinals and the Bishops, and the Pope.  The Magisterium of the Church, you know?  I mean if we are that close to the brink, the end of the world as we know it, and expecting fire to fall from the sky within the next month, while the earth is shifting due to calamitous earthquakes and volcanic activity, and expecting at least one tsunami to wipe out the East coast, yet not one official in the Church says anything about preparing for complete annihilation, and/or calling for fasting and prayers to avert or mitigate such disasters?

Even I have been posting on Facebook curious stories concerning Eskimos claiming the axis of the earth has shifted, which made some sense considering the Indian Ocean quake of 2004 caused the earth to wobble slightly: Which BTW also seems to fit Sr. Lucia's vision of the angel striking the earths axis.  I of course do not claim any locutions or revelations.  However, such events did not go by unnoticed by those who do.  For example, Mark Mallet has already posted on the great shaking thing, corroborated by a few other mystics and blogger followers alike.

But they are the only ones.  The Church, the Government, the Military, NASA - none of them are issuing warnings.  Although there were hurricane warnings.  After the Mexico City earthquake, California may have issued earthquake warnings, and as we all know, North Korea is making a lot of threats.  But that's it.

Other than that, everything seems to be business as usual.

Cardinal Burke continues giving interviews, warning the correction of the Pope is imminent - but not a word on any sort of imminent chastisement and the end of days thing.  (Maybe because he thinks the Pope would just ignore him on that as well?)  When it comes to the Church in the United States, the huge issue these days revolves around making Fr. Martin's book, Building Bridges the biggest best seller of the century.  That, along with the daily attacks on the Pope seems to attract all the attention of Church leaders in the U.S..  Oh, and the immigrants, the wall, and politics.  Not a word about the chastisement.  Not a peep about the coming apocalypse?

I'm confused.

  1. I read an article posted on a trad. Blog about the unique alignment of the planets and stars beginning tonight. It was involved and somewhat racy with Virgo giving birth tos something. All this means that today, Saturday Sept 23 is significant for a sign or a disaster. The diagrams all looked like cave art to me. Then Oct 13 quickly approaches and 100 years since the Miracle of the Sun. As for me I will just wait and see what does not happen and listen for the prophets who say we had a close call but it is still coming.

    1. With all the current "it's either us or them bomb dropping" braggadocio going on, well, I doubt the Almighty will have to intervene at all since mankind is perfectly capable of annihilating himself as we all know.

I will continue to do my best to trust in our Lord's interventions though because in end, it will all done according to His perfect will and not our egos.
Too many hidden Saints remain in this grand world of ours who intercede night and day for the rest of us ... and because of those holy souls, like in the days of Moses, they are the arms who hold up the Church as she strives to proclaim the Good News and not lose the battle against the evil one and his minions.

Whatever the outcome, I pray not to be caught unawares.

    1. Probably about Medj.

    2. Maybe the topic might be the fact that the country of Indonesia is putting her people on high alert due to the rumbles of a Bali volcano?
Or maybe the topic might perhaps be the fact that a 6.1 earthquake occurred in North Korea? H-bomb made or a natural occurrence?
      Maybe Dr. Moynihan knows?

    3. If it is Medjurgorie that will be interesting. Some conjecture that it is Fatima related. Of course the umteenth third secret stuff or related toe the Pope and plans for retirement. Probably wishful thinking by the anti Francis group. Stay tuned.

    4. 62 scholars and priests s8gned a letter asking Pope Francis to correct the heresies he has allowed.

    5. "A total of 62 clergy, theologians and other academics, though no cardinals and only one bishop from a break-away traditionalist society, have signed a letter accusing Pope Francis of heresy for his document 'Amoris Laetitia' and its cautious opening to Communion for divorced and civilly remarried Catholics, with organizers saying the last time such a "correction" happened was in 1333 under Pope John XXII."

Yep ... read about it on New Advent and Crux websites. I'm going to be praying that whatever clarifications in accordance with Church teaching is made by our Holy Father so this issue gets cleared up once and for all for the good of the Church. I don't pretend to know nor will I speculate as to his silence ... I'm praying instead.

    6. I too thought that the 62 were not reflective of the boarder clergy or faithful. Then I thought Luther was one obscure Augustine Monk. Look at the trouble he caused.

    7. "The formal correction lacks the signature of the archbishop emeritus of Bologna Carlo Caffarra, who died on 6 September and in truth, had never wanted to call it a "correction” to the Pope. American cardinal Raymond Leo Burke, the first to use this expression, (which by way has no serious historical-canonistic grounds), didn’t sign the document nor did Walter Brandenmuller. None of the bishop in communion with Rome, not even the name of the auxiliary of Astana Athanasius Schneider - the most mediatically exposed among Francis' opposers - appear at the bottom of the document. The only episcopal signature is that of the superior of the Society of Saint Pius X, Bernard Fellay.
The most important, and in some ways, closest name to the Vatican world, is that of the banker Ettore Gotti Tedeschi, former president of the Institute for Religion Works (IOR), who was removed from office in 2012. In addition to the name of Fellay there are other signatures of priests, scholars, journalists and bloggers from 20 different nations, directly related to the Lefebvrian, conservative and far-right Catholic world."

Let's consider what was posted here:

      http://www.lastampa.it/2017/09/24/vaticaninsider/eng/the-vatican/banker-gotti-tedeschi-and-people-accuse-the-pope-of-heresies-gdsW6Xx7rYR7x89LFrKYnO/pagina.html

Anyway, made for an interesting read but these folks have no real authority within the Church is what I came away with ... Sandro Magister being one of them.

  3. Oh, Fr Altier covered that in his talk about Fatima. He said it was 7000 years since the last time Virgo gave birth to a king. Note that she does so with a crown of 12 stars, thus, the planet's are aligned as the woman us described in Revelation.

I'm doing laundry, gotta have clean undies for the end if the world.

    What?

    1. Yeah well, I put off mowing and pruning thinking this was it today, and now I have to work on an unseasonably, globally-warmed September day in Minneapolis. I suppose I'll have to get Christmas presents for the Rabitowitz family this year as well. You can't count on nothing these days.

    2. Even worse? I have to go to a parish festival on a day I want to huddle under my picture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary, clutching a rosary and bottle of holy water with blessed candles lit.

  6. Tonight's sky is exceptionally beautiful. Clear and bright. I saw a "shooting star." And a curious moving one too. No great revelations however except that the universe is deep and beautiful.
