Trinity Sunday

"O my God, You are in me and I am in You."
O my Three, my All, my Beatitude, infinite Solitude, Immensity in which I lose myself, I surrender myself to You as Your prey. Bury Yourself in me that I may bury myself in You until I depart to contemplate in Your light the abyss of Your greatness. - Elizabeth of the Trinity
Infinite Solitude.  "The complete Trinity dwells in us."

Immensity wherein I lose myself.

O my Three, my All, my Beatitude!

In 1925, Trinity Sunday fell on June 7.
That Sunday, Matt Talbot collapsed and died from heart failure.
He was on his way to Mass.
Prayers for all of my friends,
especially those I have alienated.
Pray for me.

  1. Happy "feast" of Venerable Matt Talbot! May he pray that we all are freed from the addiction of sin and be made worthy of the promises of Christ!

    2. Stay safe. The national news centered in Minneapolis has had me praying for you. Stupid crazy. We fly to you for protection. O holy Mother of God...

  2. Take care, dear Terry. I am worried about your safety, from what we see of Minneapolis.

    1. Thank you - I'm not far from where the riots took place, and only a few businesses suffered in my area, otherwise things are fine now. I have little confidence in our mayor and city council to remedy things.

    2. My parish, being next door to the PD, is also living through protests. It has been relatively calm and courteous on both sides here, just noisy, and we have to walk a about a 1/2 mile to go to Mass. Minor vandalism, but none directed at my parish at this point, thanks be to God.

It is times like these that the cream rises to the top - people surprise you. You get strength from the least reliable, and sometimes, those whom you thought you could trust disappoint. But never Jesus. So that is Who I am entrusting your protection and safety, as well as our dear Blessed Mother. Be safe and blessed, brother.

    3. The whole story maybe much more complex. Have you seen reports that Chavin & Lloyd work as security at the neighborhood club & accusations of counterfeit money laundering & sex trafficking. Move afoot to up charges to 1st degree murder. Is Minneapolis talking about any of this?

    5. Yes - there are stories in the news, but not a lot on the local level. It's not cool to suggest Mr. Floyd had some issues. I certainly do not approve of the police doing what they did, as he cried for help - but some stories have emerged that that might be a 'protocol' EMT's recommend for delirium and drug OD? At least that is one thing I read. The local coroner declared his death a homicide, so Chauvin could be convicted. If he is not, or the sentence too light, more trouble will likely follow.

    6. More trouble will follow either way.

He had a high amount of several drugs in his system and the protocol is to hold the person down so they can't hurt themself or others.

I personally believe he was going to die of OD based on the amount of and mix of drugs. One theory is that he consumed his stash when cops were called. No idea whether it was personal or for sale.
