COVID-19 and prophecies - tying them all together.

The chastisement is here.

Of course it is.  In what other terms could a pandemic be described?  But is it 'The' chastisement, and does that precede the warning?  I thought it was the other way around?  Sorry, I'm being facetious.

Fr. Heilman is writing about it, using Fr. Scanlon's research tying events together since the Leo XIII St. Michael prophecy.  Connecting all the supernatural events which took place on the 13th of the months over the years, which also line up with Fatima's prophecies - especially those associated with the third secret.

Likewise, Emmett O'Reagan of Unveiling the Apocalypse has posted his calculations and research on these current signs of global importance, pretty much connecting the same dots.  Emmett takes it right to the heart of things, deciphering the Book of Revelation, the opening of the seals and the great silence in heaven.  Pretty much based upon the fact that Mass in the Basilca of St. Peter was celebrated without a congregation.  Just like most churches around the globe, due to the temporary quarantine due to the Coronavirus.  Mass, the liturgy, has not been silenced, has not been suppressed.

Deciphering the codes.

I suppose there is nothing wrong with this sort of speculation, it may help some to a deeper repentance and devotion.  But I'm not sure of how credible these 'scholars' are in their calculations, nor what it all means?  So we connect dots, dates and locutions, then what?  We are experiencing something dark, something that brings people to their knees.  Blaming the pope, the bishops, for this or that failure as the rason for the chastisement - how does that help anyone?  Blaming groups of sinners, or suggesting everything is a punishment for the changes in liturgical traditions in the Latin Rite - then why do non-Catholics, non - Christians, and the rest of the world suffer the consequences?  Don't answer those questions for me.  It doesn't matter.

The sign of Jonah.

Just remember, the third part of the secret of Fatima was not even divulged until the year 2000.  All that stuff in between 1917 and the year 2000 happened without anyone knowing it was part of the secret.  Perhaps we see the effects unfolding even now, but what was known, was more or less overshadowed by the curiosity over the third part of the secret.

Similarly, dubious apparitions, with their catalog of secrets yet undivulged, fascinate the curious, despite all the problems and evils the world has seen since those visions first began.  (I'm talking about Medjugorje and Garabandal.)

Silence in heaven, indeed.  "One Word the Father spoke and this He spoke in eternal silence."

As for the sign of Jonah, "A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah."  This week, we see that sign clearly in the Resurrection of Christ:
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth (Matt 12:40).

  3. I think everything is a sign. Men desire a logical explanation to order their world. All prophecy points to man's hubris and God's ultimate power. We have turned a corner and I believe the world we knew is forever behind us. Empty churches are a dramatic reminder that we are not in control. The battle between good & evil is raging, but we are all confused as to which side is which. It is far from over, even when this virus is gone.

  4. Studying prophecies help some of us to make sense of what is going on. But ultimately we all live in the darkness of faith. No one knows the future except God; no one knows exactly how it's all going to play out. It is usually only after the fact that prophecies become clear. In the meanwhile we live in the night of faith with hope and charity as lamps.

    1. I actually agree with you. This is simply my response to a lot of these speculations. Since first or second grade I have been devoted to Our Lady of Fatima. I used to make posters of Our Lady and post them on telephone poles, in almost every neighborhood we moved to. I'm not an expert, by far, but I have heard conspiracy theories and interpretations since 1960. These days I see them all assembled and anotated to create a sort of cohesive narrative to explain every crisis. Today, many of the theories claim just about everything is judgment against Vatican II, the Novus Ordo, Communion in the hand, and most especially, the unique papal arrangement of a retired pope and a new pope who live like a pilgrim and a stranger in a corrupt Vatican. Their complex associations between Old Testament texts, New Testament texts, along with dubious private revelations, interpretted by private entities and spurious journalism, distances ordinary folk from the essential message of Fatima. Lucy insisted, repreatedly, that all that was needed to be known by the faithful was made known in 1917. Long story short, that's why I counter with posts like this. Because of a history of conspiracy theories regarding Fatima, many Catholics think the entire apparition is bogus. The very, very devout have often turned the message of Fatima into a farce - not unlike Bayside. I've encoutered people online who say they would believe Our Lady over any of the Popes since John XXIII - but most esp. Pope Francis. I don't despise prophecy, just the compounding of theories and detailed calculations which purport to collate and catalog the data to call down fire fom heaven, as it were. I'm not attacking anyone, however - I'm just offering a sort of 'dry digestif' after such rich courses in biblical study and private revelations.

  5. Wait, are you saying the 3rd secret isn't that women aren't supposed to wear pants? What?
