Blond foreign affairs.

Works for me.
.
John McCain's wife, Cindy, appeared on ABC's This Week and said Sarah Palin had experience with Russia, because of Alaska's proximity to it.
.
"Remember, Alaska is the closest part of our continent to Russia. So it's not as if she doesn't understand what's at stake here," she said.

Erin Brockovich - Sarah Palin

I think what scared me most about Sarah Palin is that she comes off so normal - and normal always scares me. But I think she really may be like Erin Brokovich - as others have already noted - and maybe she is not so normal after all.

So then I took another look at the Obama's and realized they are extremely "Stepford Wives" types - and they scare me more. Although Cindy McCain comes off pretty Stepford as well.

I don't know - American politics get's creepier every election cycle.

I finally figured it out...

Why I blog...
.
To push buttons. Yeah, pretty much.

The real scandal...

Picture of Fr. Edward Sequeira SVD

Orissa burns.
.
While nearly every Catholic blogger, after stumbling all over themselves to denounce Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden as the worst scandal since the molester-priest cover-up; now most of them are peeing all over themselves touting Sarah Palin as the greatest thing since vitamin-enriched white bread - at the same time, Indian Christians, especially Catholics, are enduring the worst persecution that country has ever seen.
.
Yet the press, along with many bloggers fail to take note. Instead, as one blogger would have it, Catholic bloggers are encouraged to unite and keep up the rhetoric against Nancy Pelosi. Scandal mongers.

Ward on the elections...

Petticoat Junction

Sarah Palin - tall and simple - the GOP convention starts next week!

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin's parents at home, watching coverage of their daughter.
.
Obviously the family loves animals, so she can't be a bad choice. And she can drill for oil any place she wants - even the White House lawn if she wants to.
.
Quote of the week:
.
I got an interesting comment from a lady I consider to be a devout Catholic, wife and mother, she wrote:
.
"And yet, here I am presented with a “Pro life, family values” lady, who doesn’t think twice about her four month old down syndrome baby, who will be left to the custody of someone else while she pursues her political career. Is that what we call “family values”? Being pro life does not stop at birth. If she did not consider her special needs child before her career, can we trust her not to put her “values” in second place again when the time comes for political advancement?"
.
A different perspective.

The Office

Kat's favorite show. She is quite the art lover too.

Another dream...

As a dream one wakes from...
.
I was trying to keep someone out of my house - yet the stranger, dressed in black, with his face obscured, reached through the lattice and unlocked the door. I was on the floor, trying to get up to defend myself, shouting, "Who are you? Who are you?" And then, as he reached for my neck, I awoke.
