Nuestra SeƱora de La Merced
“A final consideration concerns those faithful who for various reasons choose to attend churches officiated by priests of the Fraternity of St Pius X. This Jubilee Year of Mercy excludes no one. From various quarters, several Brother Bishops have told me of their good faith and sacramental practice, combined however with an uneasy situation from the pastoral standpoint. I trust that in the near future solutions may be found to recover full communion with the priests and superiors of the Fraternity. In the meantime, motivated by the need to respond to the good of these faithful, through my own disposition, I establish that those who during the Holy Year of Mercy approach these priests of the Fraternity of St Pius X to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation shall validly and licitly receive the absolution of their sins.
“Trusting in the intercession of the Mother of Mercy, I entrust the preparations for this Extraordinary Jubilee Year to her protection”. - VIS news
3 things to know and share ... what?
- The Holy Father is not the enemy.
- This is such good news for the Church.
- This is a great sign of hope.
Our Lady continues to help us all along the path towards reconciliation, a contrite heart and a return to the Church with renewed hope and faith. She works through her little ones like her little and most faith son Papa Francis. When I first read of this I felt gratitude and hope.
ReplyDeleteDespite life's trials, my heart feels lighter today and I thank Jesus, our Lady of Mercy, and her little hijo, Papa Panchito.
All for the greater glory of God!
My heart is much lighter too. I think the Holy Year will bring grace and mercy in abundance - I think it is truly an Extraordinary Jubilee. We will all be amazed.
DeleteI was so happy when I read this: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-francis-eases-forgiveness-of-abortion-for-jubilee-year-of-mercy
ReplyDeleteThe way he spoke of women who have had abortions really touched me as well. Changed me, actually.
DeleteSometimes I don't understand him at all but then he does something like this.
DeleteHe's a work in progress just like the rest of us except our Lady is doing some extra hand-holding guidance for our Holy Father. I wonder if he knows just how heavy his burden is to carry all of us upon his shoulder, I know he does especially when he asks us to pray for him.
DeleteI'd like to think it makes his burden easier to carry despite his sometimes stumbles. Our Lady is so gracious and so gentle towards her little one that she is always there to catch him,, dust him off, reassure him she is always walking along with him and Jesus ... and off he goes again.
Viva il Papa!
