"I am the Immaculate Conception."
.
Paradise of the children of Eve, refuge of sinners, consolation of the afflicted, solace in sorrow, light in darkness, enclosure for the homeless, rest for the weary, health of the sick, gate of heaven....
.
Pray for us who have recourse to thee, and for those who do not have recourse to thee, especially the enemies of the Church and those recommended to thee.
Happy Feast Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy feast day Jackie!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful prayer, Terry. Did you compose that? Have to give a talk on Our Lady of Guadalupe in Salinas at an RCIA and am half minded to use it. [Actually, I am half minded anyway...] Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThanks Father - happy feast day. It is a recollection of prayers from the litany of Loreto with St. Kolbe's ending to the Miraculous Medal prayer.
ReplyDeleteTake a look, if you have the opportunity, at the nine readings taken from Matins on

You can also find them on Divinum Officium. They're stunningly beautiful.
I went to 7 pm Mass tonight (thank you and God Bless priests who can offer Mass later in the evening on Holy Days of Obligation for those of us who work)...makes for a long day I know..
ReplyDeleteIt was neat driving home (my parish is on the other end of town from where I live) and seeing all the Nativity scenes lit up in people's front yards...I took a few extra minutes even though my tummy was growling to drive through a few neighborhoods..
I prayed also for the Iraqui martyrs this week. that they may pray for me also not to take the freedom of religion we have in America for granted..
God Bless everyone this Holy Day.
Sara
Thanks Sara!
ReplyDeleteSara, don't forget to thank God for the Deacons who live in the neighborhood so always pull the late shift.
