  2. It was very hard not to get on my knees. The Ecce Homo sculture is one of the most remarkable things I've ever seen.

  3. Father - I bought the catalog - it is $65 and worth it.

Dymphna - I can imagine - the images are powerful sacramentals.

  4. I would love to go to Spain for Holy Week and watch these beautiful processions (not to mention the art!). My great-grandparents were from Asturias, so I still have plenty of relatives living there.

Terry, did you say that there is a catalog one can purchase where the images of some of this art is captured?

The book/catalog is available from the National Gallery online - check out the exhibit pages, "The Sacred Made Real" - the major works are included and the photography is wonderful.

  10. Thanks, Terry.
I'm gonna watch it a bunch of times to help focus upon this Great Week.
The statues are so incredible. They demonstrate such faith, love and meditation upon our Lord's Passion, our Lady's Sorrows.
