Cool looks from the streets of Milan and Florence...
These shots are from one of my favorite blogs, The Sartorialist.
This is who the Sartorialist is and what he is about - in his own words:
.
I started The Sartorialist simply to share photos of people that I saw on the streets of New York that I thought looked great. When I worked in the fashion industry (15 years), I always felt that there was a disconnect between what I was selling in the showroom and what I was seeing real people (really cool people) wearing in real life. - Sartorialist

My comments.
.
The shorter trouser and tapered leg is so early 1960's - and as the "old guy" in the middle demonstrates, it works much better on the young guys - "Bumpa's" trousers could be lengthened about an inch or two - otherwise he looks good.
I think they just look wrinkled....
ReplyDeleteI'm built like a linebacker, so I can't wear tapered & short anything. Anyway, I like the 2nd suit the best. Plain is good. The other 2 (while nice) just look too foofy for me.
ReplyDelete(The first time I tried to post I got an error message, so trying again.)
ReplyDeleteI'm a jeans and tee-shirt kinda gal, but these uber-tailored guys look MUCH better than the ones I blogged about. At least they look like they ate dinner last night :)
I don't know if you're joking, but the Sartorialist is one of my favorite blogs!
ReplyDeleteI like when he posts pics of older women who are confident and beautiful, sans cosmetic surgery--usually European. That's totally contrary to fashion mags who photograph only the young.
Heh...thought you were model #2 for a minute.
ReplyDeleteNot joking at all! You are right - he hits on style -something so real and different from fashion... ageless.
ReplyDeleteLooking good to me!
ReplyDeleteAck, that first one looks exactly like my first boyfriend/fiance!
