John McCain's wife, Cindy, appeared on ABC's This Week and said Sarah Palin had experience with Russia, because of Alaska's proximity to it.

"Remember, Alaska is the closest part of our continent to Russia. So it's not as if she doesn't understand what's at stake here," she said.

Erin Brockovich - Sarah Palin

I think what scared me most about Sarah Palin is that she comes off so normal - and normal always scares me. But I think she really may be like Erin Brokovich - as others have already noted - and maybe she is not so normal after all.

So then I took another look at the Obama's and realized they are extremely "Stepford Wives" types - and they scare me more. Although Cindy McCain comes off pretty Stepford as well.

I don't know - American politics get's creepier every election cycle.

While nearly every Catholic blogger, after stumbling all over themselves to denounce Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden as the worst scandal since the molester-priest cover-up; now most of them are peeing all over themselves touting Sarah Palin as the greatest thing since vitamin-enriched white bread - at the same time, Indian Christians, especially Catholics, are enduring the worst persecution that country has ever seen.

Yet the press, along with many bloggers fail to take note. Instead, as one blogger would have it, Catholic bloggers are encouraged to unite and keep up the rhetoric against Nancy Pelosi. Scandal mongers.
